Response/Afterthoughts to LD4ALL QUEST 5: DREAMING TO 2012

Ok, so I just read through the topic for Quest 5: Dreaming to 2012, and it made me think about some limits/problems to telling the future by lucid dreaming.

(Note: Personally, I do not believe in modern day fortune tellers/psychics. Also, I’m still very new to LD’ing, so feel free to correct me if my facts are wrong, and comments are always appreciated, as I’m still trying to explore and experiment with my dreams and dreamworld.)

Lucid Dreaming is, (quoted from lucidipedia.com/wiki/index.p … d_dreaming),
“Exert(ing) conscious control over the dream characters and environment, as well as to perform otherwise physically impossible feats. (Lucid Dreams Are) Known to be extremely real and vivid.”

So, your “dreamworld” is whatever your mind conjures it up to be, correct? Example being, if I could travel to another persons dreamworld, it wouldn’t be the same as mine.

By using that same logic, since we aren’t entirely sure of what happens in 2012, or any point in time that we were not present, our mind conjures up what we think happened, or will happen, at that moment in history.

Dreaming is an illusion. It is your mind living while your body rests. No matter how real a dream might seem, it is only a dream.

In conclusion,

Since not all elements of Reality are found in Dreams, Reality Does Not Equal Dream.

Right???

Yes, an LD is whatever your mind “conjures up”, you decide what it’s like and if your skilled enough, you can control every little detail about it.

Theoretically speaking, another persons LD would look different than yours.

Dreaming in a way an illusion, but who’s to say that a dream isn’t an “alternate demention” where anything is possible?

I agree, if in your dream the world ends in some traumatic way on April 14, 2012, that doesn’t mean it is correct. But who knows, it could also be God speaking to you that the world will end in some traumatic way on April 14, 2012. It is hard to know where to draw the line between imagination and seeing-the-future.

Well that seems like an interesting quest. I believe that dreams (not all dreams, but some dreams) are not just dreams. I actually like to think of them as being other worlds/dimensions and I do believe in fortune telling and psychics, so I do think that this is possible.
