After 4 months of practicing. These days, almost everyday or every alternate day I wake up after every dream provided it is long.I wake like 3 times its a semi-conscious state and I’m not alert that much.
I almost everyday question My self whether I’m dreaming or not In my dreams.
But the problem is My LD last for seconds and I am semi lucid and then I wake up.
I realize I’m dreaming and even before I can do a reality check and the hands rubbing thing I just wake up.It happens after every Dream. Please not that I do reality check to increase My level of lucidity I automatically realize I am dreaming. It happens 2 or 3 times in one night.I just managed to be fully lucid in two or 3 occasions out of so many times.
I have practiced 4 months and developed My technique and I feel I can LD everyday but I can’t overcome this barrier.
After realizing that I’m dreaming My mind throws me out of My dream in milliseconds. This time is too short to do a reality check(gain full lucidity instead of semi lucidity) and rub hands to stabilize My dream.I am not getting that fully conscious feeling.
Please help.
First of all, be glad that you do realize everynight that you are dreaming! That’s awesome, you should be proud of yourself!
When you become lucid and then wake up immediately, did the dream already last for a long time? If yes, it means that you most likely get lucid because you are so close to waking up and your mind is already more aware. Try DEILD when you wake up from these short LD’s.
It’s a matter of practice, I have had these dreams also a lot when I first began with LD’ing, but when you have more experience, you get these “feeling” of what it’s like to be in a dream and eventually you will be lucid at the beginning or in the middle of a dream so that you have plently of time for stabilization and adventures.
I have a similar problem. the other morning I became lucid as I WBTB, my eyes were still closed when I did the reality check (pinching my nose and breathing). I realized I was dreaming and tried to open my eyes. I could get one eye open, but as I opened the other one I woke up. I tried over and over again, falling asleep, reality check, open eyes, and kept waking up.
I probably wasn’t asleep enough. will keep trying
