This is something I have been wonderring about, gals and lads.
What do you think about infidelity while being drunk?
Say you have a girlfriend (boyfriend) and get really drunk and happen to sleep with someone else on a party.
I have never been this drunk to have this completely out of my hands, so I was wonderring, can this really happen purely based on alcohol, or would it be on the persons mind anyway, and alcohol is his/her excuse to it?
Can sex based on alcohol happen as a pure accident to those who are really in love with someone?
Alcohol cannot make you do anything that would generally be out of character, it does affect your ability to make rational decisions however.
To me I would say the person would either have wanted to have sex with this person or was just generally highly sex and didn’t care with whom they have sex because they are just too drunk to care.
Using the excuse that it was the alcohol wouldn’t wash with me. They may have been too drunk to think clearly, but the alcohol didn’t make them get naked, they still made the choice to do that themselves.
I find that alcohol only adds to how I feel normal. Me personally, I am not a highly sexed person, I have never had sex when I am not in a relationship and I find this carries over to when I am drunk in that my sex drive is even lower. I can honestly say that the people I have been around drunk and sober are really no different, they are just more “amplified” when drunk. While there will be acceptions to that, I just don’t believe that alcohol would make you unwillingly do something.
Heh, alcohol makes me very sleepy if I have too much of it(I actually fell asleep while a girl was trying to be romantic with me ). I have never been drunk enough that I couldn’t make decisions for myself though, even when I have to practically crawl home from a neighbor’s new years party. I’m sure that everybody has different reactions and tolerances, but like I said, I’ve never lost my ability to make judgements like that, even if all my motor skills are shot and I can’t even see straight . Perhaps people like to think of being impared as a convenient excuse to cheat on their girlfriends/boyfriends, but if you ask me, a decision like that is never out of your hands…Whatever the case may be, just be careful and responsible, otherwise you may make the wrong choice and drive drunk or worse…wake up in singapore married to a farm animal or something …
I’ve been way too drunk a few times before. Even to the point that I passed out or lost a few hours in my memory. But I have to say, I’ve never been drunk enough to actually do sth. that was totally strange to me. Alcohol really can’t “make” you have sex if you’d be faithful when sober. Maybe if you’d drink a LOT, your will is affected, but by then you won’t be able to have sex anymore (and you won’t be very attractive either).
Amen, bro. Before, I was typically a loose chick. But then when you’d add alcohol to the mix, inhibitions were lost and I was going at it with whoever. But after the last incident a while ago, I swore to myself for the millionth time that I would never be unfaithful ever again, but that time I meant it. I’ve drank alcohol since then and I haven’t had a problem at all. So my point is, if you wouldn’t do it, alcohol won’t make you do it. But on the plus side, being really shitfaced makes for a very good time with your lover. <__<
I think they would be stupid and irresponsible to get that drunk, and I’d be very, very angry if they slept with someone because no matter how drunk you are you aren’t going to sleep with someone you don’t want to sleep with.
Basically, if you commit infidelity while drunk you’ve obviously wanted to have sex with that person before. You aren’t just going to have sex with someone you don’t find attractive. It shows that you aren’t happy with the relationship you’re in because you obviously have feelings of infidelity.
In a way, I’d feel happy if a partner of mine who had thoughts of infidelity committed infidelity while drunk because then he would be doing something I know he secretly wants to do, and I would be able to take appropriate action: to ditch him/ hire a killer divorce lawyer to get me his house.
