Like everyone else, I occasionally have nightmares.
However, my kind of nightmares are more complex and personal than the classic kind of nightmare, and don’t actually involve any monsters or anything like that - instead, my nightmares involve things like being in a fight with a family member, finding out that a friend is about to die, or seeing my village get bombed by terrorists etc.
And to be perfectly honest, these dreams make me feel quite sad when I wake up, and I am definitely not in the mood to record them.
Sure, this sad feeling only lasts for a couple minutes, but it’s not exactly tempting to record it and constantly be reminded of it.
Of course, nightmares are a big part of your personality and can be just as developing as ordinary dreams, but what do you recommend?
That is under your discretion. Nightmares, are probably one of the easiest dream types to remember. If your brain is already focusing on remembering it, then it’s doing its recall job.
Aside from that, if you don’t wish to write down your nightmares, then unless they are frequent, I would not worry about skipping over them. Missing a moment in practice or technique is not going to bring you down.
Record them.
