Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock app.

I found this app a little bit ago. Its an app that measures your sleep state by the amount you move while your sleeping. You first set it up and set the time you would like to wake up at. Then you test it to make sure it is calculating right. Then you put it face down on your bed by your pillow. It wakes you up very easily with beautiful music. After a full night of sleep it shows the information it gathered.

^^
This is what the results look like.

Anyway im thinking that this could be used to calculate the times in which you are in the rem stage. So like after a few nights you will have a decent guess of when you REM. This could help people have successful WBTB

Idk just an idea.

Any thoughts?

I’ve used it quite a while to wake up in the morning. Surely it can be used to find the most likely time that you’re in REM-sleep. On the other side I don’t think it can be used to actually wake you at the correct moment for a WBTB or WILD, because it wakes you just AFTER a rem sleep instead of in the middle. That would require a slightly modified app.

Oh i know. Im just saying we could use the app to get the REM cycles and then wake ourselves up using something else.

I’ve got this on my iPod Touch 4G. It kept screwing up on me so I got annoyed and uninstalled it.

can i get the name of this app , i would like to try it and incorparate external stimuli to prompt lucidity, i tried external prompting before but it always triggered when i was in the shallowest phase of sleep so it woke me up, this would help me alot

thanks.

It’s called Sleep Cycle, but like I mentioned before it basically wakes you up when you’re already close to waking up (after exiting SP not during), so it’s not really useful as external trigger for becoming lucid.

How does it tell what time you go to sleep?

im guessing this is only for android and iphone, is there anything like this for a nokia E75?
