Sleep paralysis issues

I’m trying to get LD’s after 3 years of pause from the subject.
The method is WILD as you already guessed, and I’m well aware of how to get lucid once I recieve sleep paralysis.
The problem is that I can’t longer get into the sleep paralysis phase anymore, even when I’m calm and trying to empty my mind just doesn’t seem to cooporate with me.
So please assist me with any tips you got about getting into the sleep paralysis phase.

Hmm…first of all, when are you trying? The best time (that I’ve found) is around 6 hours after initially falling asleep. I’m always sleepy at this time, and have just freshly entered REM periods, so it’s a win-win!

Other than that, all I can say is try different WILD variations to keep your mind awake while your body falls asleep. You can go from counting numbers to barely moving your fingers; do anything that seems to show some progress. That plus being really tired when waking up after 6 hours should do the trick. You might even want to look into drinking warm milk (it’s not THAT bad…), which is a natural way of making you sleepy (kind of like turkey, except not, lol).

Also, if laying on your back is making you too irritated, then don’t! SP can be easily obtained in any position, despite what many others may argue.

You’ll just have to experiment a little  . Let me know if it works!

Thanks forthe tips.
Hmm, I ussualy try after roughly 4-5 hours of sleep because I had insomnia for a long time, and I’m afraid that after 6 hours I will have hard time getting back to sleep which will deny me from any progress, but I guess that it can’t be that hard after 6 hours, also I never tried hot milk at this state so I will try this tonight.
Oh, and thanks for the position tip, I think this what made it difficult, because I also sleep on my side and never actualy fell asleep on my back, and every WILD attemp in the last nights was on my back, I thought that I have to do it like that, I’m glad that the comfort position is the important thing.
So thank you very much

Yeah no problem man  . You can still go for 4-5 hours. 6 was just for me. Given that you have insomnia (or at least traces of it), 4-5 is probably better. Either way, you can try different times to see what works  .

Let me know if you get kickin!

Well, if there’s one thing I’ve had some experience with, it’s sleep paralysis. I don’t know how much the following will actually help, but it’s something I’ve noticed, nontheless:

I find it MUCH easier to obtain SP when I’m feeling relieved from something. For instance, about a month ago I was stricken with a horrible cold, one of those with migraines and stomach aches, etc… I could not sleep or eat well for a week! At the end of that ordeal, however, I felt refreshed one morning, as if the illness had completely gone away overnight!

I was just lying there, contemplating and appreciating how good it felt to be free of that sickness. My body felt relieved, and I could finally relax. BINGO, instant SP. I was able to induce SP a few mornings after that as well. Unfortunately, the “relief” seemed to wear off, and now getting SP is difficult again!

This isn’t the only example of this “relief” effect, but it’s just something I needed to grt out. Again, I don’t really know how much this can help, but maybe if you can make yourself feel relieved like that, it may be easier to induce SP? I hope I didn’t ramble too much! :bored:

not at all, it perfectly clear, maybe I could achieve this state of mind using bwgen or idoser, because I do remember that relief can realy makes getting rid of unwanted thoughts realy easy

I only get SP when after I had a dream and I lay there trying to think about the dream and not my body. Then suddenly I just get SP. I don’t know how to control it to have AP. but once I get it I can ussulay stay like that in my dream until someone wakes me up.

I don’t know try maybe were just trying to hard. :shy:

Well, I went to sleep at about 2 am and woke up at 8 am and had some stuff to do for about an hour (new dog) and after that Ive listend to some LD induction audio files and went again to sleep, I had a mild sleep paralysis (at last!) but my mind was too much awake and my brain couldn’t stay both awaken and asleep, so I guess I should do this after about 4 hours of sleep.

I only ever get SP when I don’t want it!

I’ve just learned not to force it, it use to scare the heck out of me untill I found out what it was, I find it’s easiest to gain after WBTB and then WILDing from that point, which is what most other people seem to have said.

Trouble is it’s difficult to give advice on this because it differs from person to person.
