SP Hallucinations?

I thought about it the other day, people often talk about that they see people or shapes in their room and other weird stuff when they WILD. I was just wondering how? Just out of curiosity . I mean, you do have your eyes closed when you WILD? Are people seeing this as they open their eyes during SP or do they see it like in a “dream-copy” of their room? Maybe a stupid question but it bothered me that I couldn’t really figure out how it works ^^. I have experienced seeing things in my own room just as I wake up during the night, purple spiders on the ceiling and a hedgehog by my window. These only lasted for 1,5 seconds, but my eyes had to be open in order to see them.

I think it can be both. Most of the times, I think, it’s a dream copy of the room. But I’ve opened my eyes in SP and see some really crazy distortions!

I don’t think your question is stupid, I’ve actually wondered about that too. ^^

Umm, I have a question though: is it possible to not have any HI or HH at all when you’re attempting to WILD? I have never had any, except maybe just some sprinkles of colors when my eyes are closed. But besides that, I don’t experience anything. Is it still ok? Are you supposed to? =/

There definitely isn’t a “correct” way to do anything, Kandri, if you get your LDs without HI, no worries.

I get very strong HI myself, when I’m about to fall asleep. I hear sounds (school bell, song from radio, myself singing, etc), voices, phrases and I see snippets of just about anything. A lot of time, I get entire scenarios in a flash (bought a potato at a super market) or (a monkey is eating a banana).

I’ve never had trouble separating these thoughts from real life. I used to call them dreamlets, before I learned the proper terminology.

These images though, they aren’t like seeing. It’s not like I see them in the room with me, they’re more like complete thoughts in my head. I can remember them in full detail as though I had been seeing them, but they flash through my mind too quickly to “look at them”. If they linger long enough, I can sometimes pull myself into a nice WILD from them (I’ve done it several times, works great), but it’s a tricky balance. If I pull too early, I find myself awake in bed. If I pull too late, I wake up a few hours later, often with the memory of an unrelated dream.

And finally (boy, I ramble), to answer your question, Todey, my eyes are closed. I image that it looks like I’m sleeping, since it’s the closest edge to sleep I can consciously recall.

Now, if the image is very persistent, if I see a monkey eating a banana in the corner of my room, that’s a FA and I quickly do a RC, and bam, a nice DILD for me.

I remember the first time I had SP.
I didn’t know what it was or why it was happening. I felt that sensation, numbness and I heard a voice calling my name. But it DIDN’T scared me and should not scare no one of you. Everything that happens is fruit of your mind, of your body. Never came up to my mind it was a spirit, ghost or whatever. The first thing came to my mind is I was about to have a heart attack or something like that. hahaha I just didn’t know what it was.

And now, most of the nights I “awake” when SP starts, I just feel it starting over my foot and it’s great to get lucity, in 3 seconds I can get it. And when you get used to it, stay completely calm and still, there will be no sounds, HH, or anything. You can stop it by relaxing or just feel a sensation of a wave coming and then you’re inside of a Dream.

Many people give up of WILD because of fear and they should not do that. There’s nothing to be afraid of. Just keep in your mind how exciting is this stage between RL and a Dream.

At my point of view it’s a fantastic experience that everyone should know AND enjoy.

When you feel SP you feel the vibrations strong and you open your eyes to know that you cant move.

Or you can keep them closed and feel the vibrational “ride”
