Spinning lucid

Hey guys. I recently reached a marker in my quest for lucidity

The other night I was asleep, dreaming I was in a cafe sliding massive distances along the floor (something I could quite literally only dream of being able to do). I suddenly appeared in a different place and realised that it must be a dream. Realising this, I started spinning around (I read on this forum spinning in dreams can help). One problem, I thought I had woke up and found myself failing to spin around while lying in bed. I was still dreaming, but dreaming I had woke up (really confusing stuff ). I soon after woke up.

About a week ago I also realised I was dreaming and got too excited then woke up, and now I’ve woken up INSIDE a dream :eh: . can anyone please give me some advice?

I’ve gone to sleep inside of a dream and had a lucid dream!
Lol

so confusing!

False awakenings are too much common. When you believe you woke up from a LD, perform a reality check !

Oh and yes, FA are also common after spinning. Thus when you plan to spin in a LD, don’t forget too to perform a RC.

Basilus, now that you say it, why shouldn’t people make it an habit doing a RC each time they wake up? That way, your lucid dreams wouldn’t be ruined by false awakenings.

I agree with MovieMe I try to RC every time I wake up. I keep a written DJ and I have written “DO AN RC!” in big letters across the front of it  I did this after I did the same thing… I tried spinning to teleport. I had an FA and then tried to do WILD from it. The result was I lost lucidity… very annoying :grrr: Although the FA improved the vividness of the dream to a level that I thought I had woken up… so FA isn’t completely bad.

I just love it when people agree with me  I’ll start tomorrow with the morning RC’s

It’s a common advice indeed. :content:

Alright thanks for the help guys! Very helpful stuff
