I came close when I took a nap using WILD. I still seem to lose the dream just as it coming, 3 different times a dream started off, there real blurry and as soon as I try to become lucid again I lose the dream, any tips, or should I just keep practicing/on the right track?
You’re almost there, just remember to relax a bit more, and wait in passive awareness until the dream forms completely: just watch at the forms moving, give a stare here and there, and when you feel your dream body, start by stabilizing the dream further, by getting touch sensations (grabbing something, rubbing your hands) and getting more sensory info in general.
Do things slowly the first times, it will give the dream time to adapt to your new lucid behaviour.
Relax, take a deep breath, and after that, the dream is yours for an hour or so, enjoy
Also, I was reading around the internet and people were commenting about lucid dreaming and how could they do it, one guy said it was real easy and that every night to repeat a mantra like you guys say, except he said to only say it ten times every night “Im going to have a dream, I will look at my hands and be lucid” and that within two weeks he had a lucid dream.
Would this be more appropriate for me, because when I go to sleep I keep counting to about 100 with the mantra and if im not reaching my dream by then ill just repeat, so when I seem to be starting a dream my conscious thought drifts back and I start saying my mantra and the dream stops, should I just go for 10 and just fall asleep and see what happens? (This is a WILD attempt btw while going to bed.)
A good mantra is one that is about what you want to achieve, but that also doesn’t involve any kind of rational reasoning, because that thoughts usually stop someone from entering dreams. So choose a mantra like “lucid” and when the dream comes, continue repeating, like nothing happened, be relaxed, give it a look or two, and wait this way for the dream to form.
