Well first of all I’ve been trying to get LDs for 3 days, before this I could get to sleep within about 10 - 20 mins without fail, waking up about 3 am and then going back to sleep immediately.
Since I’ve been trying the MILD method I’ve been struggling to get to sleep at the start taking an hour or two, even though im extremely tired. And when I wake up at 3am I just cannot get back to sleep… Its currently 5am and im wide awake, every time I try and clear my mind and repeat the mantra I just get headaches. So I give up and try to just sleep normally but at this point there is no hope.
Please help, anything that will help me sleep will be appreciated.

As difficult as it is, if thinking-- thinking too hard, being waking lucid-- is what keeps you awake, we’ve got to tenderize that. The thing that’s doing the thinking that you think will keep you lucid, really just keeps you awake, so that’s actually the first thing that has to go. What is dreamtime lucidity will either still be there, or it will be discovered, or it will come back. But, you know, fun as lucid dreaming is, sleeping well is much much more important.
Maybe you concentrate too much. Don’t bee too harsh on your mind, let it drift along other subjects concerning Lucid Dreaming. The intention here is most important, not the sentence. The sentence is there so you don’t forget your intention. Let yourself fall asleep while thinking about LD’s and visualising how you become lucid.
Ahh that makes sense… I was focusing on just those few words and discarding anything else. I’ll be a little easier on myself from now on
