I’ve attempted WILD maybe 5 times now and I haven’t been able to keep this under control. So many of the guides say “don’t swallow!” – but how? This is getting really frustrating, whenever I think not to swallow, it makes me swallow. So I try not to thinkabout it at all but that is equally difficult. I trie pressing my tongue against my bottom teeth but that doesn’t seem to work. I also tried to relax my face and neck. I’ll go for a while but eventually I will swallow- just like a reflex. What is it about swallowing that preents SP? I’m convinced this is what is stopping me from reaching HI. Please help!
One way to do that is keep your head higher - so the saliva will flow naturally on the back of the mouth and into the stomach. Moreover, if you happen to swallow unconsciously, that’s quite alright, as doing it won’t break your concentration. It happens all the time without you noticing it
You could try to just swallow normally and don’t worry about it. I feel that I can swallow now without it really affecting anything, but I do it without thinking about it, which is important. Had the same problem as you in the beginning.

Thats true… The automatic swallowing reflex is fine i think… it shouldnt disrupt any WILD attempt, just as long as you aren’t controlling the swallow.
Another thing I noticed is that when you try to WILD, you pay a lot more attention to everything if you’re not used to it. Lately what I’ve been doing is just trying to go to sleep like normal, and just dont tihnk too much about WILD until you get to a point where you feel comfortable and relaxed, and your breathing has slowed. At that point, maybe you can try your luck and focus on WILD again.
