There are so many different types of Tea. I drink tons of herbal teas before bed, in the morning, etc. Some Teas have worked well on me to achieve LDs,
Sometimes just normal Natural Tea can work as a wanderful antioxidant before bed. Green Tea gets your blood circulated, including your mind. Green Tea enhances a lot of brain work and it could keep you mental aware to exceed into an LD. Roobis Tea can be used to help change perspectives. Chamomile Tea helps relaxs you before bed (which is in Sleepy-Time Tea that’ll you’ll find in granny’s cupboard).
What’s a pretty cool find I found was this natural Dreamers Herbal Tea which is made help have dream recall and have lucid dreams. Tea is safe to use.
Just wandering, what Teas you people like before bed? To prepare you to have Lucid Dreams?
I’ve tried Valerian tea (supposed to make you calm & relaxed) but not specifically before sleeping (Valerian Root capsules are very effectve for me, for getting to sleep anyway, but the tea wasn’t strong enough to do much on its own really).
I know that the supplement L-Theanine is derived from the active ingredient in Green Tea, it supposedly increases Alpha waves (making you relaxed & maybe more ‘focused’, but not drowsy) by increasing your levels of GABA and of Dopamine. It also has an effect on Serotonin levels, though in what way I’m not sure (different sites say different things about this).
L-Theanine is apparently the reason why drinking tea (Green tea) makes you relaxed, even though tea contains caffeine, since it works to counteract the stimulatory/ buzzy effects of the caffeine.
Anyway you can buy it as a supplement (as a non-drowsy alternative to Valerian or other sedatives I guess), although I’ve never tried it personally.
Does anyone else think those ad’s that miraculously appear at the top & bottom of the screen when someone starts a topic about, say, TEA, are a bit … disconcerting … sinister (in a low level kind of way)?
How does an ad for Japanese Green Tea suddenly appear just because someone starts a topic about tea? What if we decided to start saying very nasty things about tea, would it just suddenly vanish again… ?
Are there Japanese Green Tea spybots trawling the www or cluttering up message boards looking for any references they can find to “green tea”?
