Technique classification

I want to know what my technique would classify as. I’m not sure it even belongs to a group.

What I do to become lucid is absolutely nothing. I’ll be normally dreaming, and I’ll just instantly become lucid. Out of the 5 most recent dreams I recall (and I remember just about all my dreams now), 4 of them were lucid by instantaneous lucidity.

What I want to know is what technique this would classify as. I don’t really say to myself “I’m going to lucid dream” and all the stuff for MILD. I don’t concentrate like WILD. I don’t use any dream signs for DILD. I don’t imagine a dream scene for VILD. I can’t really classify it myself, could anyone else? Or does this get no category, since I really do nothing at all?

Dream-Initiated Lucid Dream – A dream in which the dreamer becomes Lucid during the dream, either by dreamsigns or spontaneously (Lucidity_Master)

If you do nothing at all there is no technique. But you must be Doing SOMEthing right? Like just intend to have a lucid dream. Or wishing. something like that perhaps?

DILD

happened to me last night

Yeah, I always want to lucid dream, but I don’t really do anything special to do it. I guess by definition, it would be a DILD

It’s a DILD but that refers to the dream and not the technique. I suppose you might unwittingly perform some sort of technique. Like if you think sometime during the day “man i’d like to have a lucid dream”, do you just think that and stop or do you imagine what it would be like perhaps? Something like that?

It’s a spontaneous DILD. But as you said, it’s not a technique as you do nothing.
