For about 3 or 4 years I keep having dreams where my teeth are falling out, sometimes just 1 or 2 or sometimes all of them. Does anyone else have this and does it mean anything?
This is a pretty common dream for many people. I used to have it often when i had problems with my teeth. I suppose that then i was especially afraid about my teeth, and this caused me to have those dreams as often.
I think this is the most common dream sign, along with being naked in public. It’s supposedly when you’ve been worrying a lot or you’re concerned about your image and how you appear to other people.
I overheard someone just today talking about a dream where all there teeth fell out.
hey, it could have been you, haha.
LOL I guess your right, the dream that made me post this I was running around my old school naked WHILE my teeth were all falling out
I always have this dream where i am pulling things out of my mouth or nose. Sometimes its snot, slime, dentures (I have all my real teeth), prostetic gums, retainer (had braces/retainers years ago, possible source of the dream), etc. It has helped me to become lucid on two occassions. Seem strange? It usually starts out where I feel something in my mouth. Often, then, I find a mirror and start pulling this stuff out of my mouth. Like I said, twice i realized i was dreaming, but it usually never occurs to me.
Something wierd related to this happened to me a couple of years ago. My family and I were out of the country, on a trip for about a week. And we never contacted other family members during this trip. We got back home on a sunday after midnight. That night in a dream I saw my mother’s cousin. I don’t remember ever seeing him in a dream before that one. His teeth were falling out. He pick them up, lloked at me and said:“One day, you’ll become like me.” In the morning my grandfather came and told us that my mother’s cousin died on friday afternoon . I was really very shocked and scared and never told this dream to anyone in my family. But such a thing never happened again.
Yea, it is common. I had heard about this for a long time and it never happened to me until about a year ago. It had to be one of the scarriest moments ever in a dream, because I am not used to my teeth falling out in dreams.
I was sitting on the deck of my neighbor’s house, and somehow I was able to be looking in a mirror. And then looking in the mirror, I noticed a slight drop in my upper pallet. I thought it was strange so I touched it with my finger and then it started to sink down.
When I had heard about teeth falling out, I figured it was more like the tooth just falls out, but for me (maybe others also) it was like a large portion of gums came out with it and was attatched to my teeth.
Anyways, I desperatly tried to keep my mouth together and my bottom jaw started to sink down also, don’t know what it would go, but that is what it appeared to do. I think that is about the point that I woke up.
Although it was scary, I would like to experience it again. Just because I thought it was interesting. I don’t know any meanings to it. I don’t really think there is any real meaning to any dream content.
These dreams are the result of an overproduction of cortisol which, for those of you who don’t know, is an extremely unhealthy hormone which causes obesity, sleep deprivation, lack of dream recall and even acne. The production of this hormone is regulated by stress. More stress, more cortisol. More cortisol, more side effects.
This is the most crazy thing that happens to me in bed. Sometimes I dream that I’m getting naked and when I wake up I have absolutely no clothe!! It’s like sleepwalking but in this case undressing. I get a lot scared when I wake up naked and my clothe is all around the bed because I don’t have control of it. Thank god nobody is in the room when thís happens!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAH!!! Try no to kill anyone, or jump out of the window in you dreams! …
That image made me crack up… lol
hey i have the same thing happen to me. I sometimes see to start loosing my teeth, probably cuz i have a few problems with ym teeth iam guessing it would probably be teh same for u
have you ever thought that the problems with you’re teeth might be psychosomatic?
i once read a dream interpertation page they had to possible interpertations
1 - most likely my case - some one who’s having trouble making his opinion heard!
2 - some one who talks to much - theires sub-c is telling them to shut the fuck up
did anyone read this?
it might mean you grind your teeth at night.
