Thats interesting (wall 'o' text)

Just last night I had my first REAL lucid dream (that lasted more than a couple of seconds).
Here’s the story: I went in to my usual LD induction routine. Set my alarm clock to go off at 4:00 (been setting it for 3:00 last couple of nights) and then went to bed at about 10:30. Had a peaceful sleep until my alarm clock went off, I turned it off then did a MILD like ritual. Promised my self that I would recognise the dream and remember it then went back to sleep. I then woke up at about 5:00 and was dissappointed that I had no lucid dream. I thought I would never get back to sleep now. However I did drift off and I became conscious during that pre-sleep stage. I thought I would not be able to have a LD because it was too lighter sleep but then I came to be in a shopping centre of some sort and I rubbed my hands and realized I was in a perfect lucid dream and I was not even starting to wake up. What followed was a lot of cool chases by DC’s where I could do classic Low Gravity Dream Jumps, run really fast and could do psychic powers (lots ‘o’ fun). I woke up some time later in a very cheerful mood. Hope I have another soon.

But I actually wanted to ask a question: do many people become lucid during that pre-sleep stage and get their lucid dream. It’s sort of a WILD technique. Tell me what you think.
EDIT: So that’s my fifth lucid dream and definatley the most realistic.

Lucky you !

Actually about 3 of mine last month were from this, I woke up and hit the snooze button like I usually do and I drifted in and out of sleep. I started to think about certain things and i fell into a pre dream state like you described. I then looked around the dreamscape and muttered “Heh 15 minutes before snooze goes off again. Lets have some fun”
