Pedro - your posts are way too short. Try and put some length into them.
Just kidding. Make sure you post a url when you make your website. I’d like to see it. I’m gonna try your method tonight, see if it works for me.
Wow… that’s insane… both the fact that I read it, and the fact that it was worth reading! Thanks Pedro, I have a good feeling that this may work for me tonight!
How long did it take you to fully come up with or “perfect” this tenchinque?
Excellent data, Peter. When I actually have a normal night I will get this started and post results.
Keep it coming.
Did it this morning- actually it came from another source… it was a technique to re-enter a dream you just dropped out of while dreaming! I personally think this would be loads better with WBTB out of REM…
Er, the dream wasn’t stable at all, and I lost lucidity while asking this person her name (I already knew it… I was just stupid-lucid…)
Thanks for the afford!
Copied&pasted it already, looking towards trying
Now that most of my midterms are over (5 done only one more to go, ENGG205). Hopefully I can “get back” into lucid dreaming. Sounds like an excellent plan, thanx for sharing it with us. I’m off to write up my incubation situation after I’m done surfing. (incubation rhymes with situation )
exellent post pedro!
And great method idea.
looking forward to read experiences from ppl who have tried it. The LD and also the dream setting you use to become lucid.
i’ve added a VILD acronym, maybe you want to change the description, i tried to put all your info in one sentence
Never mind this. I hadnt read it all XP I did now, and I’ll give it a go.
It hasn’t worked for me yet. Last night LD’s was spontaneously induced (first I did a WBTB & WILD and I just slept after counting) and through this method I had a “thinking” dream about dreaming. I’m ready to give it another try however, perhaps I’ll be third time lucky.
When I visualize something too much or too vividly (which is usually the case, especially with this method) i tend to either get distracted or remain awake longer or both! this is baaad. in short i’m just a bad sleeper. it can take me up to 2 hours to fall asleep even when i’m tired. i’ve been working on this though and i think i’ve recently been falling asleep in about 10-20 minutes, but this is without conciously thinking of anything, i just let my thoughts flow, otherwise i can’t sleep. i just give myself a quick reminder (i’m going to have long and interesting dreams tonight, - or something to that effect) and then let go.
i just ordered some CD’s from www.brainsync.com which i hope will help. i got SoundSleep which will hopefully put me to sleep quickly and in turn i’ll be able to focus on some VILD’s or MILD’s or WILD’s that usually keep me up.
and i also got a memory and concentration enhancing CD because i’m pretty weak in both those areas…
i’ll report back on the effectiveness of these CD’s when they arrive and after some exreimenting with them.
keep up the posts Pedro you have very interesting dreams and methods!
I got up at 11am today but was still really tired so I decided I’d read the forum for a while before going back to bed. I happened to stumble upon your post and it was really good reading! I tried doing the VILD as I was falling asleep and I managed to fall asleep thinking it but I didn’t dream it. However… I had a dream and about half way through it I realised I was dreaming and I was crawling on walls like Spiderman - it was pretty neat for a 2nd LD ever!
So, thanks a lot for your post. Hope you’ll write more soon
Pedro, your VILD method sounds very solid. It makes complete sense to me. I’m going to try it tonight. I have also been reading your dream diary and would like to thank you for it. Every time I read an entry (it’s usually before bed) I lucid dream like a mad woman. I also downloaded some of the files from warpmymind.com and I’m planning on using those tonight.
I’ll let you know how it goes. Hopefully, it goes well, of course.
Keep the great posts coming.
Keep on truckin’ err dreaming. One day I’ll get that lucid dream. And let me be the first to welcome you to the forums Iamgreenfairy.
Welcome to your new home Iamgreenfairy!
Oh my god I forgot how long this post was! Lol. I never did a workcount on it…
The funny thing is I just sat and started typing and tthen didn’t stop till the end! I didn’t think about it beforehand…I just typed! Scary…I can’t do that for an otehr essays or anything!
ANYWAY…I just found it and thougt I’d give it a post since the thread has been a bit lonely for a while!
Still not revieved an award for “most pointless amount of writing EVER” yet lol! Maybe the Guiness book of records would take it…
Since I read the entire thing from start to finish, it is obvious it is worth it(I usually read nothing). Nice job pedro, I shall try it multiple times until i can get it. So far I like this method better then any of the other ones I’ve read about.
Great post, it really makes a lot of sense.
I have tried this technique adapted to waking up early in the morning, 5am and then starting in with my dream scenario.
No luck so far.
I like it. Thanks for pouring that out of your mind onto the page. I will work this into my habits.
I finally read the tech, and indeed it seems very interesting…
But one thing i wonder though… From what i read, you say you are able to induce LD’s in evning using this technique??
I will definantly try this. I’ve been have very vivid dreams of late two or three a night but there always so far out there and in no way relate to everyday life so i never think do do a RC.
Oh, What if you enter a dream state but don’t realize it and cuntine going through your premade dream for the intire time your dreaming.
any way i’m ganna try it tonight.
