Hello,
I heard about a method that says:
- lay in bed on your back
- your arm should be close to your waist, but your forearm should point up in 90 angles to create a “L” shape.
- lay in bed until your forearm falls down. As you quickly become aware of it, your consciousness would be dramaticly increased and you would be able to prevent yourself from falling asleep.
How is this related to Lucidness?
Well, as soon as you are noticed of the drop of your forearm,
you can use that type of high awareness in lated phase of your sleep (close to REM, correct me if im wrong) so enter the Hypnogogic part and from there to Continue with the normal steps of the WILD method.
Advantages?
It can avoid you from laying in bad trying hold your mind not to wander and falling asleep or waiting like a statue for 30-120 minutes.
few Questions:
- are the drumatic jump in your awareness can delay your sleep phase or even to return it one stop back?
- are in the phase when your forearm drops down, you really close to the Hypnogogic part of the sleep?
- I heard that with practise, you can perform this method without holding your forearm pointing up, the Awareness to your body will do it for you. can it be possible? it can solve the
problems i mentioned?
Thank you.
