Because they’re an agonistic nation, pretty much like the Ancient Greeks or we — yes we, Brazilians. Why there seems to be a competition between the South and the North? (Or rather, the South and Sampa, the Amazon and Sampa, Rio and Sampa, the Northeast and Sampa, the West and Sampa etc. — we live in a very unfriendly city, Ro, yes we do. )
Is America really becoming like the Nazis during World War II? I’m just making sure because I saw it on one of these topics on here. I know we’re not killing jews but we still have that kind of power they did.
This is mostly my opinion, but as it is based on fact, I’ll say it:
I believe the short answer is a “yes”, with a few "but"s.
I’ll list a few similarities:
USA has immense political powers.
USA spreads it’s way of thought via “The American Way”, and has been doing it for years.
Controls and manipulates information, via the world’s most powerful and resourceful groups, such as CIA, FBI, etc, etc
USA has a leader hated by most of the world.
Is currently using another nation and/or it’s people as a scapegoat for war/conflicts/killing, which gives them further power and resources (Familiar?)
Ignores/controls UN
Has superiority over most, if not all countries, including, but not limited to military, technological and others.
Uses it’s power to manipulate and control weaker countries…
The list would be huge, but I’d say that, while comparing to the Nazis is a little bit too extreme, it’s the best example we got nowadays. I hate to say that, but, in a way, it can be true.
Just some things on the subject:
Hitler was actually on the cover of TIME’S 1933, and was TIME’s man of the year 1938.
The US actually sold Nazi Germany Oil, which they needed to invade France. It wasn’t until something happend to the isolationist US aka Pearl Harbour, that they joined in and fought the country which they had been funding.
I can see the US doing somthing stupid in the future, but they’re not nazis. They are more like communists
Eeey, this is a learning topic where you’re supposed to be granted replies and not to start discussions! Save those hunches for the “USA = Superpower” topic!
Reearch motivation, influence and most of all to make people do things find out first why you want them to do it, then think about how you can make them feel like you feel and the rest will fall into place
