we all heard the story of a guy falling off his bed and dreaming that he fell off a cliff. Well something like that happened to me. I was at this thing where I stood guard at a monument for remembrance day, so I barely got any sleep; and when the person was waking us up after about 2 hours of sleep in my dream there was also someone yelling.
It was pretty cool, hearing something in a dream, then the same thing in RL. Also, I find that it usually happens after sleep deprivation. Just a little story I thought I’d share with you guys
I’vr had that a bir befor, but nothing major.
It was the cliff thing, i dreamd i was falling and when i woke up i was on the floor. I’ve also had things i’ve been excited about befro i go to sleep affect my dreams, quite a few nights i’ve been hoping for a snow day the next morning when i go to sleep and i’ve dreamt that i had no school due to snow. It’s quite annoying when i do have school the next day
That happened to me too. I was quite upset the next day as well . But I never had the cliff thing. Why do you think that happens?
The sensations remind us of falling → we imagine falling → we dream of falling. Always remember that, even in sleep, we’re susceptible to external senses, in particular sound is the most commonly incorporated (IE. the alarm becoming a loud noise from somewhere in the dream)
Surely the position I assume while dreaming affects them: I already talked about right-side and left-side in my DJ, plus I found that in LD’s i sometimes tend to assume the same position of my real body, waking up as a consequence mostly.
I get this a lot. Especially if im drifting in and out of sleep in the morning, and theres a loud repetitive noise going on in the house. It filters through to my dreams. ^^
Interesting thread I once had a dream where I was in a high abandoned tower and heard people talking in another room. I didnt dare to go in since I was afraid that they would see me
I stood ouside the room for what seemed an eternity and I couldnt move
I finally woke up and found out it was the clock radio
