This has been a recent find, but I noticed the strangest and very annoying occurence. When I wake up for school, I usually like to relax in bed for about 20 minutes before I get up and get ready. However I can’t relax when time skips. For example, Friday morning I woke up and checked the clock. 7:03. I’m not lying down at this point, I’m actually propped up on my elbows on my stomach. I turned to my left, blinked for about 3 seconds, looked back: 7:10. I think I’m false awakening, believing it’s real, then actually waking myself up in the same position.
Hi Reglicide
I get a similar thing but not to that extent. It’s more like worm’s experience like when I wake up at 4:00 and I can’t go back to sleep an entire two hours can seem like ten minutes. Sort of like an altered sense of time.
I guess you’re just falling asleep again for short periods. When you just woke up, you can fall back asleep in a matter of seconds. However, that’s nothing to the time leap I once had as a kid. I was just in my bed (can only guess… 11pm?) and I was sure I only blinked, and suddenly the sunlight is coming through from behind the curtains and it’s time to stand up. Still not sure how this happened. I normally don’t fall asleep easily.
