Timing-induced Lucid Dreams (Ti-ILD?)...

I tried to come up with a nice acronym for this, but everything seems busy already. :spinning:
Anyway…

I’m not sure if this can qualify as an actual technique, but it’s an interesting idea nonetheless;
it is very similar to the somewhat unofficial C-WILD technique - you count in your head and fall asleep more or less aware.
However, in “Ti-ILD” (or whatever in the world it could be called, C-WILD 2 perhaps? :lol:) you actually do several counting tests over a period and try to notice when you usually fall asleep - for example, I have noticed that I often tend to lose track somewhere at 300-350, so next time I’m counting I just have to pay extra attention when I reach those numbers, since apparently that’s when I’m starting to lose consciousness.
Maybe this is worth a try?

Ah, so you try to focus most when you notices you lose concentration? Interesting idea, I’m not sure if it qualifies as a seperate tech either, but it’s certainly worth a shot. Let us know how it comes out!

that’s an interesting thought :grin:

EDIT: PS- I think you spelled somnologist wrong? :tongue:

Yeah, or rather, you try to find out exactly when you usually fall asleep while counting, and once you reach that number the next time you have a chance to enter lucidity if you try to remain aware at the moment you’re about to fall asleep.
This probably makes things easier, because you have a relatively good clue when you are starting to enter the dream.

I’d like to know, you do this when you first go to sleep at night or at some other time?

The way I did it was to simply count several nights in a row and then tried to remember where I started losing track of the numbers, which was typically around the 300-400s (that’s exactly 300-400 seconds).
It is supposed to be something you can do if you haven’t got used to C-WILD yet, so you can point out where you should be extra aware.

I’m not sure if it works yet, I couldn’t sleep last night and when I tried couting I got to 1000 :tongue:, but that was because I’m having a cold right now and I’m cold sweating a lot.

Hmmm… well perhaps doing it later in the night/morning you might have more success?

Perhaps so, I think this idea is simply a way to make C-WILD easier if you’re having any problems with it.
I’ve actually succeeded with C-WILD a few times, but I almost always realize it after waking up since I normally assume that I’m still awake. :eh: :peek:
