Trouble getting comfortable

Hey, I’m brand new to this whole scene, and I would first of all like to greet everyone. Anyways, my problem generally is getting comfortable. I am able to remember my dreams most of the time, and i sometimes accidentally reach lucidity, but after reading the guide that was written, I am fairly convinced that i will need to learn how to become less restless before I am able to reach my true potential. Can anyone offer any advice on how I can control how restless and squirmy I am?

Hey, welcome to LD4all! Well, you didn’t say what guide, but I’m guessing you meant WILD. I’m like that too, but whenever you want to squirm, DON’T. I believe that this is how your brain checks to see if you are still conscious, by sending a signal to your muscles to move, so if you resist this, then the HI will start and you will begin the transition into your dream. Some general advice on WILD’ing though, is if you can, use WBTB with it. This increases the chances of success because you will already be in a REM phase. You can read the guide on the main page if you want, it really helps. One more thing, WILD is hard. Like, VERY hard. It is definately the “Holy Grail of LD’ing” though, so if you get it down then you can have a LD almost whenever you want. Don’t expect it to happen anytime soon though, it takes a while.

I was was actually reading the main guide from the main site. But the WILD is what I was aiming for. Thanks for the advice, I’ll try it out tonight and report back tomorrow.

Alright cool, if I LD tonight I’ll wake you up and test out shared dreaming lol.

hahaha, niice.

lol yup, good luck

Try some relaxation or meditation methods which really help in WILD and which you should do either way.

Take a deep breath and tense your Face/Head. Hold it for 10 seconds, let go and relax the face.

Do this for:
Neck, Shoulders, Arms/Hands(tight fists), Chest/Stomach, Thighs/Buttocks and Feet and Legs.

Always prepare by by using a relaxation or meditation method before doing WILD.

Yeah Miggyi is right, always relax first.

I do the 61-point relaxation tech, but there are easier ones.
