Trouble Relaxing My Body

Relaxing is a very difficult task for me to do, and basically takes 30 minutes to an hour to completely rest my body from it’s spontanious twitch-a-thon. The relaxation method used on the LD4all website somewhat confuses me and that’s why I couldn’t try it. I don’t know how to tense up every muscle of my body >.> I lack muscle control :sad:

So I was curious if anyone had any other suggestions to relax the entire body before I attempt to WILD ^^

well if you keep twitching, stretching could help.

If you don’t know how to tense up every muscle in your body, then that would be a good method for you to learn. It would also help with your muscle control, and body awarness which can also help with lots of other things like sports or just being able to control yourself better when you are in uncomfortable situations.
To help get you started, You should start with the feet. Just point your toes down as far as you can. This should cause the botom of your feet to feel pressure, this is the kind of tension that you want to make in your muscels. Pay attention to how that feels, the relax your feet (let the toes move back to their normal position) and pay attention to the difference in the feeling. That is the difference between tense and relaxed. Then push your heels down against your bed and notice the pressure in your lower legs. Then Try to rase your heels about one inch off the bed and notice the pressure in your upper legs. Then push your bottom against your bed. Then move to your hands. Make a fist as tight as you can. Push your hands against the bed. Rase your hands up off the bed. Take a deep breath and hold it for a while. Push your head against the bed. After each time that you tense up a muscle then relax it and take a moment or two to pay attention to the difference. You should take your time doing this, and if you concentrate and take your time, it should reduce, or stop the twitch-a-thon in your body.

I sure there are many ways to relax your body, really depends on the person.

For me I have three main methods I use depending on my mood.

Reading: I lay on my bed, in a nice comfy position and just read what ever book currently is on my list. This simple act relaxes my body as I basically just ignore it as I become immersed in the story.

Bath: A nice relaxing bath… BUBBLE BATH!!! Is there any better way to relax than in a bubble bath? :tongue:

Masturbation (seriously): No need to go into details there. :eek:

My technique may sound ridiculous but it actualy works. Maybe 2 hours before going to bed, drink a lot of water. Then when you feel you need to empty your bladder, hold yourself! Hold yourself until it is time to go to bed. After the final release, you feel soooo good. Then do some stretching and BAM you’re relaxed…
