Trouble Walking and/or with Audio during LD

Hey guys,

I just joined the site and I have a few general questions that have been bugging me about general lucid dreaming. I would like to know if anybody else has had similar problems or perhaps if you of you have any suggestions on how to correct the behavior.

The lucid dreams that I have seemingly come at random times and sometimes when I realize that I’m lucid I will have an extremely hard time walking. It feels as though cement has been poured over my feet and a majority of my lucid concentration is taken up just by wanting to wobble my way to different areas. It usually corrects itself after I concentrate on it long enough, but sometimes it’s so taxing that I end up waking up half way through the process. Is there anybody out there that has this happen to them and/or have suggestions?

Also, this one is fairly new, but sometimes when I am talking to a dream character, they will speak to me, obviously wanting me to hear something, but no voice or audio will come out. I’ve told them before that I really want to hear what they are saying and usually they repeat themselves, but still no voice comes out.

Just sharing some woes and I hope that somebody out there has had this happen and has some advice to correct this. It’s super frustrating!

Thanks :content:

I have had walking problems myself in some of my lucid dreams (it sort of felt like walking under water, a slight resistance and about 50% slower than normal), so I totally understand what you mean.
I say don’t worry about it, remember there are no real physical rules in dreams so it can take some time to really get used to how things work.
You are still unused to how you move in dreams, because you are now moving in a hallucination instead of an actual physical space - and it’s very normal that the first lucid dreams have no sound.

One thing you could try is to actually pretend that you are awake and in real life, this might trick your brain into interpreting everything as if it actually were real life.
Also, try talking loudly to yourself, this will force your brain to simulate sound a little quicker.
