Trouble with falling asleep

Whenever I try WILD or MILD, i fall asleep without realizing and end up waking up not able to remember my dreams. Is there any way i can keep my mind a bit more awake when I try these? Any suggestions would be good.

You might want to work on your recall if you can’t remember anything when you wake up. It is possible to forget you have had a lucid dream. To improve recall you might want to try lying still when you wake up and try to remember what you were just doing in your dream, then run the dream backwards from there. To keep you mind more aware you could try one of the techniques used in WILD to stay aware, such as counting or visualization to give two examples.

^ Good suggestions. Ive jsut started a dream Journal to help my recall. Also i used a modified version of the water glass trick described in the guide. Where you drink half the glass and think i’ll remembr my dreams when i wake up and drink the other half - i just used somthing else i know ill do every morning because i knew id forget about the glass. Taking time in the morning to relax and try to recall the most recent part of the dream and backtracking from there is very good advice as well. Often when i write down a dream it helps me remeber other parts and details of it. Not wasting any time it writng the dream down is important too, the longer you wait the the more you’ll lose.

nice tips!
from both of them.
Let me add,
when youre laying still in the bed trying to remember the dream, dont get tensed by not remembering it, in fact, it might be better to not try to remember it at all, just lie down, keeping as still as possible, looking at the ceiling, it should come to you.
