After keeping a dream journal, practicing reality checks and using all the techniques that I know to try and lucid dream I still have a recurring problem. Either I realize that I’m dreaming so I try and move my dream body, but as soon as I do my actual body moves and wakes me up, or even more obnoxious is when as soon as I realize that I’m dreaming I can just feel myself laying in my bed and wake up. I’ve tried the “more control pill” as well as yelling more control in my dream but I always move in bed or actually yell in real life
Please paaaleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze help me. I’ve been trying to be in control of my dreams for more than a year now, and people keep on telling me not to get discouraged and that it will come but no one else seems to have this problem.
-a nearly discouraged person.
It sometimes does happen to me. In fact it has ended my two last LDs :<
How many LDs have you had? How often does this happen?
This used to happen to me very often. The best things i normally do is to either demand things (like you said ,screaming it out LOL, “increase lucidityx1000” etc.) or to basically grab hold of the nearest dream object you can find and focus on it. Basically reattach yourself back into the dream and not focusing on your real life body.
Try focusing on your dream environment. Look at what’s around you, look at your hands and then slowly try to rub your hands or grap something in your dream. When you’ve just become lucid it’s best to take things slow, relax and take your time to stabilize your dream.
If that doesn’t work, it’s also possible to do absolutely nothing at all for some time. If you stay in the dream it’s clearly stable enough to move. If you feel yourself laying in bed, just lay still, relax and wait a minute or 2 till you automatically enter a new dream or feel yourself rolling/floating out of bed (that usually happens to me and after that I just fly away from my bedroom).
