At this very moment im doing a WBTB and since i always have problems to motivate myself to really get up and think about LDing I wanted to start a new topic: A Place for everybody who is doing WBTB right now ^^ Well not right now but at the time you are actually doing it… you get the idea. We could share experiences, write about the dreams we just had (in a short text) and read all the entries from fellow people who voluntarily cut their sleepingtime Just to stay motivated and to really get your head into the mood of dreaming… (the searches I did told me there arent any topics like this, but i might as well be mistaken)
I should start:
Well, im doing WBTB just now and this is the first time 3 months. I was heavily stressed by my exams so i really couldnt get myself motivated to wake up that early. Now, still having one exam left but nevertheless having enough time, i wanted to start again and here am I: I just had breakfast. I dont feel too dizzy anymore and i might come into this very special condition of having a r4laxed body and a somewhat awake mind, but i still have to struggle a bit.
One dream i had was about about myself and 3 freidns of mine travelling. We went down a mountain that might be in switzerland. We sort of got lost and asked a guy about the way to LA and he told us something about turning left after some river. Then we met another old classmate woh was travelling to another city.
Also i had my first dream ever in which I wasnt actually existing as a character! I was just watching the show, like watching television. It was about two guy, one old, one not so old, and a blonde woman that wanted to move into the same house but i cant remember the details.
well, thats it for me folks! Im looking forward to read your stuff!
haha, what shall I say? It works! I had my first LD ever ! I
My WILD attempt failed miserably but I sort of MILDed: I dreamed i was waking up and got out of bed when I realized I was dreaming. I somehow got overwhelmed and nearly woke up again but I could stay in the dream. It was a short dream after all and my level of lucidity was very low (it felt more like dreaming to have a lucid dream, I really didnt have control but the idea i was dreaming), dropping firther every minute, but it was an awsome experience! I even managed to look into a mirror
I use this method just about every night! (although not on purpose) My husband works 2nd shift, I’d typically get a good 4 or 5 hours of sleep in before I wake up when he comes home. I (mostly) always get up to say hello, since I rarley see him. up for 15-20 minutes, then I’m back to bed. My WILDs have been out of control for the past few months - wasn’t until I came upon this board and learned what WBTB was that I realized why! (for that matter, I had no idea what WILD was - never meant to do it “on purpose”. I was just able to finally put a name to what was happening!)
Excellent, very nice to hear your having good results, WBTB really helps make WILD easier because it gets you to a point where you fall straight into REM sleep instead of having to go through the deep stages of NREM first.
I’m trying it right now too. I don’t remember my dreams from just a bit ago, it seemed more like random stream-of-consciousness imagery to the music I heard from my downstairs neighbor. After a nice hot shower, I’m watching the sunset chilling on the forum and thinking about the adventures to come!
