I woke at about 3 in the morning last night, and after a while decided to try WILD to have a nice lucid dream before I woke!
I found it extremely difficult to stay still and to induce SP, but found that when I didn’t think about it I was suddenly paralysed and my body was tingling all over. However, I couldn’t get PAST SP and into my dream… I either blacked out for a few seconds then was back to waking in my bed, or it just eased off itself. This happened around 5 times, I was finding it easy to slip into SP, but no further.
One of the times, I blacked out, then opened my eyes in my bed… And my TV was on. I went to get up out of bed to turn it off but my legs/body were too heavy… Then I blacked out and ‘woke up’. After realising how realistic and WEIRD the false awakening was, I gave up and eventually (after a few more unwanted cases of slipping into SP) fell asleep.
A few questions…
-Once in SP using WILD, how do I get into my dream?
-Also, last night, I was unwillingly falling into SP when all I actually wanted to do was sleep. Why was that happening?
When I enter SP when WILD’ing I just relax and wait for my dream to come to me, and I slip into a LD naturaly from there. Others wait for HI and step in to it.
When I wake up already in SP, I pull myself out of my body and get a good LD from that usually.
You were falling into SP because your mind was still conscious and your body fell asleep. As simple as that.
From there you can either just let yourself fall asleep,
Or wake your body up and stay up for awhile before going back to sleep.
SP is nothing to worry about, especially not if you’re trying to go to sleep.
Fell completely lucid last night after being affected by SP, but it was odd because It was after a FA I think. It was incredibly strange as well because at first it seemed nightmarish, it was pitch black, all I could hear was warped screams of horror and it felt like I was being ripped out of my body in a strange topsy turvy vortex kind of way, I was concious enough to realise that the sensations were very similar to my first AP experience but I was entering the state in a strange way. Once I realised what was happening I just completely relaxed and the crazy rush took me.
Once it ended it was still pitch black and I could only manage to get the top half of my dream form out of my sleeping body. I ended up trying to open my eyes a bit to see but unfortunately ended up waking up.
