Using Monroes Hemi-sync Lucid Dreaming Excersise

I attempted WILD (at least I think it was WILD) for the first time last night. I think I did well. I used Monroes Hemi-sync Lucid dreaming dvd’s. It was excersise 1.

So what happened was I was following the instructions of the dvd. The instructions guided me through relaxing my entire body. About 20 minutes in I had an urge to swallow the saliva in my mouth (I remembered reading on this site that you shouldn’t swallow or it could ruin the attempt) so I chose to not get distracted by it and suddenly my entire body except my head felt like it had electricity flowing through it and my body was also feeling a bit numb and tingly. My eyes were also twitching like crazy.

I got kinda excited because I thought it might be SP. So the feeling passed after about 10 seconds. After the electric tinglying and numbness had passed my eyes were still twitching an I thought it was funny so I was opening and closing them, and it went away because I was being an idiot  . My body was so relaxed I didn’t have any perception of time so once I got up I realised I had been lying there for 30 min.

How close was I to WILD? I think I did alright for my first time but I really want to know how close I was. I’m gonna try again tonight.

Well, from my guess it was Sleep Parizilation, so you was very close to LDìng, my friend. ^^
as for the saliva, try doing the following.

  • Swallow the saliva at the beginning.
  • Push your tongue gently at the back underteeth.

Sweet! Thanks for the info and tips  Cant wait to try again. :woo:

Ugh, that’s why I hate it when people say not to do a basic bodily function such as swallow. Yeah, do what LDWolf suggests, but what is more important that not swallowing is not thinking of swallowing. If you do it without thinking about it, it won’t cause much trouble. On the other hand, if you spend the who time focusing on not doing it, it will cause trouble.

As far as the SP goes, just try to not even contemplate it. You’ll know when you get there. If you feel a tingle, make note of it and continue counting or whatever it is you had planned.
