Does using any music you like help with WILD at all? I know some cool music that I thought would be nice to try and use to relax and space out, rather than use audio saying im dreaming. Would that help?
I’ve heard of several people that like to use music for LD induction. When using it with WILD, the trick is to just find something that will keep your mind active but not awake. Music with no clear rhythm or beat is recommended, but you can use whatever you think would work for you.
Yeah I was planning on using some spacey guitar jams and see what happens, another question I had is how long should I plan on playing the music? all night? for an hour? couple of hours?
Well, the idea is to keep you conscious as your body starts to fall asleep, so the answer is to keep it going until you’re out. This would probably be most effective when combined with WBTB. WILD done right as you go to bed is a pain.
An alternate method is to keep the music going all night in the hopes that you will hear the music while you dream (or if you have an alarm clack that can play CDs or iPods, set an alarm for about 5 hours after you go to bed). When you hear the music, you’ll remember it is for LD’s, and be lucid.
