Very Weird Experience! Thoughts, Anyone?

Hey, I thought I’d share this strange LD with you, because it’s confusing the hell out of me and I want to know what you make of it.

I decided I wanted to go see dinosaurs in my LD for some reason, so I used my “teleporter car” (that’s something I made up one time for fast travel instead of spinning. All you do is get in this old red car and you press the button of where you want to go. The button you want to press is always the big green one ). Ok, anyway, I teleported to this jungle and I saw a herd of those dinosaurs with the long necks that eat trees.

Suddenly, a tall, elderly man walked out from behind the bushes. He was graceful and wore long, white robes. I felt afraid when I saw him, even though he wasn’t scary at all. I think IRL I would of felt safe and relaxed to see him. I tried hard not to run away, and he smiled at me and the fear just vanished. Then he said, “This world is in danger.” I asked why and he replied, “Science.”

Then he touched my hand and it fell off (I felt no pain) and he picked it back up and put it back on me. It looked like it never had fallen off. He then asked, “Could science do that?” I shook my head no. Then he said, “Beware of science, it puts our world in danger.” He waved at me and crawled up the dinosaur and into its mouth, then disappeared. I immediately woke up.

Any thoughts about this? At first I thought it was a random DC, but usually my DCs are much more like bland. They don’t have very good conversations, and they always look alike. This guy was totally different than anyone I’ve ever seen and I had a strange feeling in his presence. I was afraid but in awe at the same time. I was a little concerned when he said “This world is in danger”. I’m not sure if he meant the real life world or the dream world…

Thanks.

Maybe Jesus?

Man, that even kreeps me out. Wow, that’s a strange dream.
If you belive that there are more thing going on than our eyes can see, than my guess is that this is… Something big. I don’t belive in it, I think it’s because I’m afraid of it.

Or it’s just your mind messing with ya, you didn’t happen to drop any acid before you fell a sleep with a bible in your hand did you?

But I don’t understand what that science part meant. Just think about it… If you were in the time of dinosaurs (big J. wasn’t there yet), and the asteroids slaughtered all the dinosaurs, wich todays science we can stop those asteroids from hitting earth…

Wonder what big J’s/your-minds point was…

I would take his advice for a while

I’d be interested in hearing your basic belief system. For instance, say you used to be a Christian (or Muslim, Buddhist, whatever) who dropped your beliefs in favor of evolution and ‘the big bang’ theory. Perhaps this is your subconscious, which still has some faith (or maybe it’s God Himself!) reminding you that you haven’t totally lost faith in God, and shouldn’t.

Or maybe you’re a religious person, and it’s your subconscious (or God again? haha) reminding you of what you already know-- that the world is dropping God in favor of pure, Big-Bang science.

I don’t know, because I don’t know you. But there’s definitely some spirituality in there somewhere.

Oh, and Lucretia, your use of the words “the big J” reminded me of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, where they had to use “J-Man” and “Gee Wizz”, because the censors wouldn’t let them say Jesus or God. Funny stuff… sorry, off-topic, I know.

just curious, do you use “science” to induce your lucid dreams?, cuz if so maybe the guy was telling you to do it the “natural” way??

He and his words sound wise…maybe it was a sign. It’s a fact that some dreams can predict things that may happen in the future. For example, my friend had a dream about terrorists attacking the US the DAY BEFORE 9/11. Or at least he claimed that he did. He said it freaked him out a lot. Maybe its a sign that one day human kind will destroy itself with the power of science.

Either that or it was all just a bunch of randomness. No way to tell really

Yea, i also think that if you are person who is bit sceptical about science, it can come out of you in your dreams. But if you trust it fully and have no former beliefs that made you be sceptical about science in your past, then this DC sounds more than just your subconcious mind.

Anyway, this is fact that science can be great danger to life IF it is used as a tool in irresponsible hands/brains, or by people who have evil inventions (like blowing up some country by nuclear weapon, or similar). Science in itself is harmless. It’s people who use their inventions for good, or bad purposes. And who knows: maybe this man was right…

I’m a Christian, and I’m kind of religious, but I’m not skeptical of science. I believe that the universe was created by the Big Bang Theory, but I think that God made the Big Bang. I guess you could say I sort of take bits and pieces of things and make my own theories. I’m not the kind of person who thinks science is bad and that everyone should go back to accepting that God made everything, but I’m also not the kind of person who needs scientific proof of something to accept it. I’m sort of in between.

Ok, so anyway, last night I had a LD and the first thing I wanted to do was meet with the old man. Here’s the story of what happened.

I became lucid and I said aloud, “I want to see that old man I met near the dinosaurs.” Nothing happened, so I spun around and imagined him standing there.

When I finished spinning, he wasn’t there, but I went to him. This is unusual for me, because whenever I want to talk to someone, they always come to me and I never go to them. The old man was sitting at a table sipping a cup of something. We were in like a tea parlor or something, there was teapots on shelves on the walls, and giant women with wings were fluttering around dusting all the teapots and humming. Then, on one shelf, was jars filled with random objects. I remember seeing a panda’s head and deflated soccer ball, but I forget the rest. They almost looked like they were being pickled. Weird.

The old man said hello to me and I became terribly afraid again. He ordered me to sit down, and I did because I was so afraid he’d hurt me if I didn’t. I sat down and he offered me something in a teacup. I hate tea and coffee, so I refused, but he told me to drink it. So I did and the fear just like disappeared and I felt more relaxed. Then he said something like, “I was expecting to see you.”

I asked him if he was real or not. He answered (this is word-for-word too ) “I don’t think it would make much difference if I was or I wasn’t.”

I then asked him if science would destroy our world or the dream world. He answered, “One cannot exist without the other.”

I asked him another question, but I forget it now. Then I asked him a question about the Bear Family (that’s a long story. If you ever want to hear about the Bear Family tell me and I’ll tell you all about it, it’s pretty interesting.) Then he said, “I think you are satisfied.” I said yes and thank you, then he went into a small door which wasn’t there when I first came, and I immediately woke up.

He’s very strange, and I think he is something more than a DC. I wish he would of been more upfront with his answers and not so damn mysterious. I want to know what that tea place was though. It was very cool there, I’d like to go back.

EDIT: fixed grammar mistake

im not very experienced with this sort of thing having only ever experinced a 1/2 lucid dream that lasted 10 seconds but id say this guy is more than a dc god maybe?

If you are dead in real world, you cannot dream either. That’s why “one cannot exist without other”. Still, if you know that this is a dream, what makes you fear this man? I never fear my DC-s. Just curious…

My immediate fear of him is one of the reasons why I am so interested in him. Usually, I realize that it’s just a drea, amd I have nothing to worry about, but this guy just petrifies me. He wouldn’t scare me IRL, but in the dream world he freaks me out.

Thats really odd. Good luck finding out why he appeared.
