Violence In Dream Characters

Okay so, when ever I have tried to tell a DC that they’re only part of my dream, or when I’ve asked a DC how it sees me or asked it to draw something so that it can demonstrate how it sees the world, or in any other way let it know that I am Lucid then they all seem to turn on me. They just kind of go horribly violent all of a sudden and start wailing and making terrible noises and trying to chase me away. It’s actually quite frightening and disconcerting.

This has happened four times now and last night my mother experienced a very similar thing in her Lucid Dream. What does this mean? Is it something that DC don’t like to be asked, or are we not supposed to ask it? I know people who’ve asked DCs such things and not had similar results so could it be just me and my mother who experience this? Please, can anybody help me with this, I’d really like to find out. ^^

Well, DCs can have quite unpredictable reactions!
As far as i’ve experienced at least. Some of them would just ignore what they hear (quite often), others seem to already know and give me some sort of advice or something (rather rarely) but many don’t take it very well and might even get angry or hostile…
The funniest reaction though was once that i told my friend “do you know you 're just a DC in my dream?” just to see what will happen. He started to lose his words and then he turned into black&white (like a cartoon!) and eventually he faded away! that was fun to watch! :lol:

As far as your dreams are concerned, maybe you’re afraid that they’ll react this way so that’s what you get (tricky subconscious :tongue:). Did you talk to people you knew or just random DCs? I don’t think i ever got a hostile reaction from familiar characters. Maybe you could try talking to some familiar person like a friend or relative (i mean in your LD) and see how they’ll take it… Hope that helped…

Ah, thank you, you’ve been quite helpful. I think that it’s probably my fear of such a reaction that is making it happen. And I’ll try and find some familiar DC person to ask rather than just random ones. Thank you for your help. :smile:
