Want to have my first lucid dream

Hi guys, I just found the lucid dreaming community a few days ago and I still haven’t had my first good lucid dream. When i was younger i had like 3. But in each one i was too excited by the fact that i was lucid that it lasted for like 3 seconds. I’ve read tons of techniques but WILD and MILD seem too hard for me. I have a dream journal and i have a pretty good dream recall. I’ve read about SSILD and how it’s really easy. I want to have a lucid dream tonight! :happy: My plan is to find a technique to use when i go to bed. Then, I’ll do a WBTB and try SSILD. So does any1 have any techniques or tips for me on how to stay in the lucid dream and how to have one? Help would be appreciated!

Well it sounds like you already know a bit on the subject so about your question :
How to have a lucid dream : Well you said you don’t feel like WILD and MILD so you will try SSILD. Perfect then, these are all inducing technique and make you have LD’s so just follow the technique and continue writing in your DJ. You will have your first LD in no time. :smile:

Then about doing SSILD :
You ask for a technique to do before sleeping at night.
But you can only do SSILD when you wake up during the night after a WBTB for you.
So the only technique I can tell you to do before sleeping is :

either just telling yourself that you will wake up during the night after a dream and do SSILD
Or the same but with self hypnosis to be sure that you will wake up.

Now about little tips to stay lucid :
It will be your first so you are going to be excited. That is the main point you will have to work on. Don’t get too crazy when you notice it :

keep calm and rub your hand
Look around you and wait for the dream to get clear
Don’t think about the fact that you might wake up
Have an objective or you will end up doing nothing interesting or you might forget that you are in a LD
