This is incredible, yesterday I had my second mild since starting practicing ld’s less than two weeks ago. Now this night I did a wbtb (combined with smoking alot of tobacco) and had like 3 short lucid dreams. It wasn’t like the other lucid dreams, it was like I knew I was dreaming the second I entered the dreamstate and I was still semi aware of my body laying in bed. I didn’t even do RCs (should have maybe, but I just knew I was dreaming)
One dream I was lying on the street in somewhere in my city, actually felt the hard stones, then got up and figured I would walk to somewhere interesting, the dream faded quick though. another dream I don’t really recall except I tried spinning to stop that fading but I think I actually turned around in bed waking me up ending the dream. The last dream I was in a store with some people, again I immediately knew I was dreaming that time I decided to try and grab a girl which was nice though unfortunatly I woke up within 2 minutes again.
I’m very excited about this success but a bit confused wether this was mild or wild, since I didn’t really try wild. But I was concious that I was dreaming from the begginning of the dream and still somewhat aware (or remembering)that I was laying in bed. Also I’d like some suggestions about how to get deeper in the dream (the dreams weren’t really clear) and then stop it from fading (like rubbing hands or spinning).
Sounds like WILD to me, happens to me sometimes 2, when I’m trying MILD, I get WILD. When I’m trying WILD… nothing! Ironic, isn’t it. >_<?
Waw! Congrats!
While practising WILD, some people (when they are in the HI stage) lose consciousness during a few seconds then they reach lucidity again at the beginning of a dream. Those lucid dreams may even so be considered as WILD’s. But as you weren’t practising WILD, I would say it was a DILD indeed. By the way, it’s no so important, the main thing is that you have had LD’s.
The problem you had is not very clear in my mind. It could be that the dream was not very “solid”. Then I would give the advice of grabbing something, like the earth, or focus on the sense of touch. And rubbing hands, spinning, shouting “Increase clarity!” could work too. But it could be a low lucidity problem. Then doing RC’s could be useful. Perhaps has someone another idea…
