Was this the beginning of WILD?

Last night i watched inception, so i obviously wanted to go try to LD again, after giving it up for a year or so(i never got it before, but i never tried very hard).

Anyway, i went to bed, lay down, and just blanked out my mind, but in a very “intentional” way, if you know what i mean? I focused on NOT moving my body, and on enhancing the numb feeling you get when you “Think” about moving your arm, but you dont actually do it.

Anyway, after about 15-20 minutes, my entire body suddenly relaxed, and i began to roll onto my back without thinking about it; furthermore, my entire body was feeling sorta like you do when your leg goes to sleep but starts to come back? except not painful. My eyes had had curtains of light for 5 minutes or so at that point.

Except…well, i thought i was finally getting it, so my heart rate went up, and i ended up focusing and losing everything :shy:

I’m just curious if i was close to WILDing. Would be pretty cool if i was, since this was my first try.

The fact that you started to suddenly relax and roll onto your back signals your “body” was taking control from the mind. So basically yes! You were probably very close to going lucid from WILD.

Just keep practicing and you should get it!

That could be WILD, or it could just be your body laying in one spot for too long. The roll on to your back could mean a couple of things, but generally during WILD you want to avoid rolling at all since the motion wakes you up a little more.

Try this: wake up (either by alarm or autosuggestion) 5-6 hours after you first go to sleep and then try the WILD attempt. Earlier in the night you would have to fight through deep sleep cycles to get into a dream, and it’s more likely you would just fall asleep. Later in the night you’ll go directly into REM sleep and the whole process is significantly easier with less uncomfortable side effects like HI and SP.
