WBTB problems

I’ve been doing induced WBTB (like MILD, but convincing youself you’ll wake up at some point at the night). I do wake up, alright, but when I do, theres just a blank in my memory, I dont remember not even a tiny piece of a dream or something, just blank. then I stay awake for 15-30 minutes, browning LD4all and stuff, but then when I try sleeping again I dont seem to do any progress in WILD, as if I was trying when i was about to go sleeping, then I wake up and no dreams too. Am I doing something wrong?

Look, there is no technique out there that will made you to lucid dream instantly.

If you are not natural lucid dreamer which would mean that you dream lucidly every night without induction techniques then you need to learn those technique.

When you learn something you have this learning process divide into 2 categories:

  1. theory
  2. practice

When you master theory which means when you know all the steps of the particular tech that you need then you can go onto practice.

Practice means putting theory into work. Which also may mean that you will not follow guides steps literally just because they don’t suit you. You will modify guide in your own need and make tech work with practice and experimentation.

Look, I know that I was writing this like you don’t understand a thing, which is not case here, I know that but the most important thing for lucid dreamer to understand is that one needs time and will and time in order to make things work.

Also you need to give yourself a credit. Every attempt is a success. You did WBTB. You actually woke up, got out of the bed and stay awake say 20 minutes. That’s huge. You know there are ppl that will not get up in the middle of the night for nothing. So give yourself a credit and time.

You will get things working in time. It the process and it needs to be learned!

I would work on DR before trying anything, if I were you. ^^

No offense, but it seems to me that a lot of beginners are way too impatient.
You can’t just pick a technique and expect instant results - you need to accept that these kinds of things will take a few months to achieve for most people.
Also don’t make the mistake that you put all your trust in techniques - the most important qualities are to believe in your ability and expect lucid dreams in the future, and to train your mind to become more aware in general (also called Lucid Living).

I agree with Episkhet, I didnt start trying to LD at all until I could wake up and recall at least two dreams per night for a week straight.

about dream recall, yeah, I do have some dream recall
I mean, this week i’ve remembered a dream everyday, so I thought about trying wbtb, but then theres the problem: when I do it, I dont remember a thing, as if I didnt dream at all.
thats why I asked if I was doing something wrong.

Just write down all your dreams, When i started out i set my alarm 4 hours after i went to sleep and remembered no dreams. Now i recall 4 every night sometimes 5. It just takes practice and motivation. Often times you have to set your intention as your going to bed. For mine i go “When finish a dream, i will wake up, lie still, and recall the dream”

oh sweet. its just cuz I got scared of like interrupting the REM sleep or something, so I didnt recall, but if you say it also happened with ya, I’ll just keep on trying
