Weird LD

Okay, well first off I’ve been interested in LDs for about two years. When I started, my motivation only lasted for a few weeks, and I began to forget about LDing as the only method I really tried was WILD. A few months later, I became interested in LDing again, and again, I lost interest after a few weeks.

Well, it’s been about a year since then, and my interest has returned, but this time I want to keep it. So I’ve been doing RCs and such to try and get LDs, and last night was…weird.

So I “wake” up in my room, and I notice my door has been cut in half horizontally. Somethings off here, and a few things happen that I can’t quite remember. Now, at one point I go "Wait! I’m dreaming!. At this, I bite my finger to see if it hurts, and to my excitement, it doesn’t. I can only feel a slight buzz. At this I decided I would try to take control, but I couldn’t really. It was as if I was just awake, in the real world. So I tried increasing lucidity, and that didn’t work either, so I figured I’d try and wake myself up. I laid down in my bed, and try to wake myself up through a few methods. Nothing works.

So what exactly is going on, is this like a weak form of LDing I have to master before I can really go all-out?

It seems to me that you tried to do too much too fast. Try focusing on obtaining one single goal the next time you get lucid. Also, most beginners find it a lot easier to express their goal as a physical object before just creating it. For example, rather than just trying to increase lucidity, have a Lucid Cola drink appear on a nearby shelf or something, which increases your lucidity as you drink it.

Advice aside, congratulations on getting lucid!

Will do, thanks!

Sorry, you bite your finger as a RC? o_o Congrats on the LD, at least your becoming lucid. =/
