moved to quest since adventures is for topics about what to do when lucid and this topic was about a problem :moogle:

I dreamt I was at Disney World, and we were in an apartment (yeah, an urban apartment in the middle of Disney World). For some reason I remembered I was dreaming and I was going to get a person in the dream. So I turned around and expected the person to be there, but instead Shaye St. John (search on youtube) stands there, I lose lucidity, and she bites me in the neck?

Why did this happen? I thought I was in control?

LooOOooL, and I thought I have strange dreams  .
I dont know much about dreams yet, but I think you are getting close. Even if you werent really lucid, you at least dreamt you were.

Edit: WooT 10 posts.
LoL

Yeah, I’ve heard about fake ld’s… I’ve been struggling for a real one for years now

My dreams usually are strange… I’ve dreamt about Disney World several times now, and each time it looks different. This time though it wasn’t especially “happy”. It was eerie for some reason. Maybe it was the constant grey colors and stuff. Also one of the rollecoaster was sitting without any security on a really small board that was mounted on the cliffside… then it rolled along a small rail while you had to desperately hold on to not fall off into the rocks below :eh:

ROFL, hahaha, that is funny.

Not exactly how I would want my LD to go.
When you realized you were dreaming, did things seem more real?
I have always had the thought in the back of my head that maybe a couple of my LD’s were fake LD’s since I could not do something that I wanted to do…but I always discard those beleifs because when I realize that I am dreaming…things get sooooo much more real and I can sometimes recall memory from waking life that day…or stuff like that… I dunno. It is hard to explain.

Things don’t always go perfect when you’re LD ing.

well you could try doing a RC and see where that gets you i hope i can help sorry if i cant

I just looked it up on youtube… and jeez, no wonder she bit you and caused you lose lucidity. That is fu^"$ng scary sh#. Certainly not something I would like to dream of… Almost like the David Lynch stuff…

Ya its fake lds. Sometimes being lucid is just a part of the course of a dream. For example one time i did a rc, told my self i was lucid. Then the dream just continued without anything else happening. Wierd stuff always happens.

Those weird stuff happening is one reason why I like dreams!

Really??
I always have messed up dreams.
Last night i had a dream that i was in an apartment in New York, and that a giant prism was going to come crashing down on the city. There was this big clock in the apartment and i was watching the time i had until the prism landed. I looked out the window, and it was coming down, very slowly, and it ‘just’ missed the building i was in. Then i went outside and jumped into a helicopter.
I made no sense to me.

Yeah, me too. A few friends say I have bizarre dreams, but they happen all the time to me, almost normal… In my craziest dream moment lately, I fought a triceratops with a coke bottle. I put it in his mouth so he couldn’t bite me! :shy:

There is no such thing as a “fake ld” either you had a lucid dream or you didn’t. If you thought to yourself, “This is a dream” then there you go you just had a lucid dream. But if you don’t think that or anything close to it then you’re not having a lucid dream. My control varies in LD’s too. One time i’ll be able to do anything i wanted without struggle but sometimes I struggle so very hard. Also, the best way for me to summon people is to just yell out something along the lines of, “Mom, so and so is comming over” but i only really do that in my house and the doorbell rings with them standing there before I even finish my sentence.

If at any time you suspect you’re in a dream, that dream is lucid. You may lose focus and just lose lucidity but that dream is still a lucid dream because you were lucid once in it.
