what was your first LD like?

most of the posts i read on here say that many people end up having false awakening in there beds, rooms etc. at least somewhere in there house and thats how there first LD started so is that what happens at evryones first time? if not what happened in your first LD experience also can you include what method you used? also what are LD nightmares like? ive read that some people end up getting chased im kind of worried about having an LD nightmare i think ill be too excited to think of scary things i saw in real life when i actually do have one but i still want to be cautious unlike some people there were only like 2 times when i realized i was dreaming but this was before i knew anything about LD’s so i became scared actually and thats how i ended up waking up so how can i prevent myself from becoming scared? and how many dreams do you guys mostly have during the week? because i havent had a dream in months is that normal?..it’s so disappointing looking at an empty dream journal…how can i have dreams again?(if its possible)…and how many days did it take you to have a lucid dream?

as a matter of fact, my first substantial lucid dream was this morning, and now that you mention it, it kinda was a FA. after a WBTB, I was repeating a mantra and i guess fell asleep. the next thing i knew, i was in my bed and was looking across my room at some object/person that was disappearing and reappearing, coming closer to me every time it reappeared. I got up and did all my lucid stuff. i am still not sure if it was a WILD or a MILD, but thats how my first LD happened :content: It took me about 4 months for this 1st LD, although i havnt put too much effort into it. I strongly recommend WBTB.

As for your dream recall questions… Firstly, you dream every night, its just that you are unable to recall these dreams. Try getting up after 6 hours of sleep when you are most likely in REM and you will probably wake from a dream. You can also repeat a mantra when you go to bed like, ‘when i wake up i will remember my dreams’. You could also try some foods that supposedly help for dream recall such as fish and milk. hope that helps
