okay, this time i’m gonna post a topic about it. Last time i thought clock was normal but doubted myself. but this time AGAIN in my dream the clock had normal numbers. i mean how am i gonna know if am dreaming or not???
does this happen to anyone else? seriously. the clock should be questioned. or otherwise i’m crazy.
lol i guess no one really knows and think i’m retarded…
You’re not retarded. I guessing you have a digital clock. The basic principle is the same as text, and text does not always change, and it’s not always gibberish. So sometimes it will appear normal. I think that if you spend more time looking at and looking away from it, it will become more strange. I would suggest that you have a backup RC just to be sure. It has happened to me too that text has remained the same after several lookings when it is really not supposed to be the same. You can elaborate on this RC and not just look at it. If you stare at the clock for a while the nnumbers might change, and if you try to make it change by willpower maybe it will. Same goes for an analog clock.
It is advisable (but tedious) that you are quite thorough, and do several different RCs and make yourself more aware of your surroundings, looking for clues, and pretend that you are dreaming even when you are sure you’re awake so as to expect these anomalies.
For instance, if the clock says it is in the middle of the night but it is day, that is a big clue. Try to convince yourself that you are dreaming!
Krakatoa that helps i shud look at the clock more than once, but i’m not controlling the dream so how can i do that? lol i guess if i had looked at the clock again it might have changed… and it isn’t digital and doesn’t have any text …it is on the wall… so my problem is the clock will show real numbers. unless i control the dream…so looking at the clock in a dream will not help me realize that i’m dreaming …
thanks for replying tho
now i wanna cose this topic cuz it has no maning for me anymore— But i do wanna thank this topic for giving me an Ld last night!!! because of clocks i had LD. thanks for replying u were the only one Krakatoa
You’re welcome! Happy to help.
How to look more than once when you are not lucid is like doing the same when you are awake. In all dreams we are actively participating so you can do what you want. Just relearning how to do a RC will hopefully be enough, so you remember in the dream.
yes that is true! now i really love clocks haha who knew? so now those who will come and question the ~CLOCK ~ i will try to help them like you did
I normaly use the nose RC, works better than clocks for me.
also sometimes even though it dident change just by looking at it might be becaue you saw, lets say 10:43, so sometimes the mind might just say its 10:43 next time see if eather A) you can change the time from, like 10:43, to like 3:00 or something like 4:0apple or B) just try looking away and admaging the time changed.
The nose RC should always work, because you are always breating when you are unconcious, I assume? I usually do the nose RC’s and the hand RC’s, since I always have those with me. Sometimes, in an area that has text, I’ll do the text RC…
i believe that is why but sometimes i thing your brain might realize that you covered your noise so it says you are awake
yes all those are good Rc’s thanks guys for helping i try to do all the Rc’s while in school . lol
you look at it , look away, look back
try to make it change,
you can do it right now, pretend this is a dream, see what time it is, close your eyes, then see if the time is different, do this a few times
then try to make it change to a completely different time
try to make your walls purple… that’s how you figure out if you are dreaming!
[b}RC’s fail because we do not use our imagination and pay attention, to really experiment and see if we are dreaming, we just do them robotically[/b]
yes Eyelids imagination is the biggest key! and changing walls is a new one for me thanks for sharing must try it
Some reality checks work better for some people than others. Perhaps you should find one that works better for you. Have you tried the jumping reality check?
