[WILD] Distracting movement of pupils!

Hey evryone, sorry to post a new topic again today, but I needa ask this. It is a veryy trivial detail, yet one of the only things keeping me from succeeding in the WILD technique.

So what I normally do is visualize me walking down stairs, or down a hall or whatever. We’ll take stairs, for argument sake. So I try to visualize this way: looking down at my feet, and stepping up, step by step, although the problem is that my muscle memory kicks in in my eyes so my pupils end up looking (with my eyelids closed)_ as they would tilt down while walking up stairs IRL. I find this very difficult to handle, because when i normally sleep I believe my eyes normally just sag up towards my eyebrows or vice versa, or simply stay directed in front of me. The main problem is the slight moveementt of the eyes. Believe it or not, it is quite distracting while trying to fall asleep.

If anyone has any comments, critics or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

Thx,
Dee

If you could get over the distraction and just let it happen it’ll probably be fine. If it’s not possible maybe you should change visualisation.

Agh! I suffer from this problem too. The only way I can make it stop is just relaxing my eyes, but then I have trouble visualizing again without it coming back.

Exactly!

It is suchhh a pain, mann.

same problem here ive been trying to ap but my eyes start to twitch

Hello Dili Dali

I can relate a little to what you’re experiencing. I sometimes can’t sleep because of being too aware of things like this. I try to relax my eyes, shoulders, neck etc. but i can’t tell exactly what position they want to be in. (The tension goes, once i stop thinking about relaxing)

A wheatbag resting over your eyes might help.

I kindof have the opposite problem, Im to aware of my eyes moving up toward my eyebrows sometimes. It feeld kind of weird.

Try ‘feeling’ the stairs more than seeing them, if you can recreate the sensation of weight transferring across your feet(and possibly textures like wood on bare feet) in your head, then you might be able to just imagine what the stairs look like rather than focusing on ‘seeing’ them. It seems to work for me…

Yeah same here!
