Alrighty. To keep myself motivated every night I am going to post my WILD attempts and how they went the previous night until I can WILD at will (I know I’ve got a long way to go lol). Not sure this is the right forum for it so please move it is mods.

Ok last night I was trying WILD and listening to the Tinnitus from my ears to keep myself awake. Surprisingly I had SP in 10 minutes but it faded in around 20 seconds. I got too excited. I’ve had SP before and eye twitching however this has motivated me even more.
Welcome!
Well, if you want to post your dreams too, you could open a topic in the ‘‘dream journal’’ forum. If not, I guess it could stay here, unless the mods want it elsewhere.
Don’t say you’ve got a long way to go.There’s no way of knowing how long it will take.
No rules, you may be surprised how well it could work.
Good luck with WILD, I hope you get many LDs
Telling yourself that you have a long way to go isn’t a great idea, you probably don’t have as far to go as you might think, and convincing yourself LDing is hard just creates unnessesary mental barriers.
If you had SP you’re doing a pretty good job with WILD already. Its good that you recognize you got too excited as too much interest/emotion will usually kill your WILD or dream and wake you back up. The mindset you want for WILD is that of a disinterested observer. Just passively observe the sensations and sights you feel as you drift toward a dream. Don’t get impatient or want it too much, or you’ll never get there; WILD is just something you have to let happen, not make happen. Sounds like you’re on the right track though, gl!
Thanks for the feedback guys! Yeah I suppose I shouldn’t say I have a long way to go. I really appreciate the reply’s

Ok last night wasn’t as successful as I thought it would be. I was laying in my bed for about two hours and nothing happened. No SP, no HI… nothing. So I gave up and tried to go to sleep and ended up laying there for about 3 hours trying to get to sleep. Which means 5 hours of laying in my bloody bed. But I learnt something from this event. Don’t try to WILD when your not tired as it may result in getting only 5 hours of sleep when you have to play tennis for 4+ hours the next day. All in all, one hell of a night
