Hi, I am curious if what im thinking is wrong with my WILD is really whats wrong.
I usually concentrate intently on what im doing, either breathing or counting. I noticed recently that this could be my problem, the fact im focused pretty intently. Now I tried to do something else and it is SO hard to describe but here goes…
I sort of change from an intent state where I anticipate the next number or breath to a very very passive state where I let the numbers or breaths come to me which trigger a bit of consiousness. I guess the way to describe how my mind anticipates is it thinks one AND two AND three. So do you think this is my problem?
I think so. This might be keeping you TOO aware and conscious. If you do it that way, i think you would find yourself laying awake in your bed until you give up (possibly for hours).
Just lay there and be, be concious but that’s all. Once you play with it you’ll notice there’s sort of different levels of concious awareness you can slip out and into while nearing WILD. Its sort of like you can blur out your own conciousness but if you keep it at that you’ll slip into a normal dream unaware, try bouncing back and forth.
I don’t know if that even makes sense to you, everyones minds being so different. Hopefully it helps in some way, also try not thinking about dreaming or anything like that, again with the just being
Yea, iv’e had that before, you should try the POT breathing method described in LeBerges book. You take your hands and put them on your stomach, you breathe in and out slowley and only focus on the rise and fall of your stomach, its easy to do and requres less concentration because you can feel it:) and you dont really gotta think to hard.
