WILD sounds nice, but...

I have had good success with bed time and WBTB but not great success with naps. That is my major weakness. No matter what I do I just can’t WILD with a nap. I either get stuck in the hypnoia or fall asleep which some times results in a DILD. I think the problem is that I don’t get to practice napping very often. My goal is to eventually learn to LD completely at will.

For me aboutth eonly time I can’t WILD is when I am first falling asleep due to the delta sleep barrier.

Milod, perhaps this is what is happening in your naps, you’re body is trying to go into delta sleep instead of REM sleep.

Could be though I can WILD at bed time. Most people find napping easier. I think it is partly because I always have trouble sleeping with naps. I just need to practice more. The hard part is finding the time.
