WILD, the times i've tested it.

Today i was going to sleep after 12 hours i’ve been up. After i had gone up at 20:00 and gone to bed at 08:00 to get some sleep. I wanted to try a WILD after a number of attempts before, because i’ve never succeeded with it but i know i can do it.

This is the closest i’ve come into a dream with WILD.
It started with me, lying in the bed with my arms at the sides. Completely calm and still. I started to feel these twitching signals, the body was at the level of checking if i’m ready to sleep. Easy, i passed that as usual, but then when it comes to the level when you are having it hard to breathe it usually gives upp and i’m ending upp just lying in the bed doing nothing ( And i don’t know why it just gives up ).
This time, in a way, i passed it. I felt a harder push at my chest and how i was starting to panicking, i told myself to calm down and that it wasn’t dangerous ( In my thoughts ) and then after a while with these panicking feelings, it just dropped… then i felt these waves at my arms and how my arms began to sink, though not my body… This was gone after some minutes and i gave up and came to the conclusion that i was too “awake”, i really felt that i couldn’t progress anymore and i opened my eyes. I’ve never been as deep as this and i wonder if this is on the right track of WILD?
Otherwise give me some Suggestions and please help me on the Quest for Lucidity!

And notice what i said, i had just been up for around 12 hours and i was trying to sleep. It can be hard to sleep then…

Even if you fall asleep in only few minutes there is almost certain that you won’t dream, because we don’t enter REM sleep immediately, it takes 90 to 120 minutes, and as you know we mostly dream in REM sleep…

As for WILD goes it looks like you are on good path, but try all that with WBTB technique, you will find that more successful…

Yeah you need to set an alarm 4.5-6 hours after you go asleep to wake up

Alarm is good way to wake yourself but I think that using auto suggestions is better way, because those can wake you up and made you lucid, so if is possible to you try auto suggestion and see if it works for you. For example: I will wake up in 5 hours. Or something like that…

As others above me said, WILD is only adviseable to do when REM-Sleeping. That is either after 4,5 or 6 hours of sleeping, also daily naps.

Ah, okay thanks everyone :content:
Then i know what to do from now on!
