WILD without wbtb

Hya,

Is it possible that I can make a WILD without waking up in the night? I want to WILD already while falling asleep first time in the evening at 10-11 pm.

thx,

Im pretty sure you can. It’s just harder I think. Just keep practicing and you’ll get better.

Possible…for some people and only then in rare occasions. To understand this we need a quick overview of the sleep cycle. As you go to bed at the beginning of the night you drop down from Stage 1 (awake, fast brainwaves) all the way to Stage 4 (deep sleep, slow regular brainwaves). The problem lies in Stage 4 or delta sleep. In delta sleep you lose consciousness and very little dream content is reported from delta sleep.

Thus the vast majority of people don’t have dreams in delta and moreover they can’t remain conscious in delta sleep. Clearly this is a bad combination, if you can’t stay conscious WILD becomes impossible.

The reason WILD works better later at night is that you stop entering delta sleep at night and this extra time allows your body to have longer REM sleep in which 90-95% of dream content is reported. No Delta sleep + longer REM sleep = no loss of consciousness = quicker entry into REM sleep = more vivid dreams.

I understand, it’s like LaBerge wrote it in “Exploring the world of lucid dreaming”.
When i fall asleep later, maybe in the morning, i’m immediately starting a REM period. That’s why I’m dreaming pretty more intensive in general when I wake up and continue sleeping.

actually this is the only way that works for me!!
Do WILD when i get to bed, but honestly it is rare or hard to remember( sometimes you become amaze in afternoon that you remember your last night WILD).

by the way, each person is suited with his/her own way, some ways work for you some not .

sleep soon,in same time each night, be relax and stick to your plan.

Good Luck

Ive done it twice now so yes it is possible but there are some obsticals which may be a problem, I found that the first wild i did i was surspended in darkness for the best part of 3-4 hours, it was ok i was thinking using my imagination for the best part of it, then the dream world faded in (which did not last long). Yet i found that instead of keeping my awareness i dropped off completely which was a bummer.

Then last night my other wild was pretty much dream world stright away and it lasted ages, then i woke up jotted it down in my DJ and went to bed normally.

some times i think its just how your feeling towards the issue, like the first time i was trying to hard and last night i was not trying at all so i was more relaxed .

It is at the least very difficult for me. If I try WILD when going to sleep, I may end up in a state which would otherwise be close to a dream, but it is mostly darkness or a floating feeling. Images are confusing and incoherent. It is nothing that would qualify as the beginning of a dream. Also, I am easily distracted by sudden noises (which sound more like explosions if I am in that state ) or unexpected/scary images floating around.

But that of course is not to say it could not work for other people (or even for me, with more practice).
