I have attempted WILD in the afternoon several times, and I cant get it. I lie around perfectly still for 30 minutes, still wide awake when I open my eyes, and when I just sleep in the afternoon, I dont get any dreams. Every time I wake up in the morning, even If I dont remember my dream, I get that feeling that I had a dream, but when I sleep in the afternoon, I dont even get that feeling. Am I doing something wrong?
Well, I guess it can depend on how long you have been awake before attempting it? Since you risk entering a non-rem sleep the longer you stay awake during the day? Not quite sure though. I think I can recall someone saying that you will still get rem sleep when napping in 5-6 hours after that you got up.
WILDing in afternoon is very close to WILDing before you go to sleep at night : HARD for beginners, if you usually don’t fall asleep fast, and don’t see HI i would recommend doing it when you wake up after 4-5 or 6 hours of sleep. Try different approaches to find what suits you best, don’t stick to just one.
I have the same exact thing… no dreams at all either when I take naps in the afternoon (which is rare btw) I feel like I fall into the deepest of sleeps…
Well I can WILD after 6 hours of sleep, but I want to be able to in the middle of the day!
Also, do you think it would help waking up at 5:00 a.m instead of 10 a.m?
use whatever works for you. it just comes down to practice.
I think 5 am would be better because there are no lights and much less noise that can distract you, for other reasons than that i don’t know.
