My problem is not getting tired until about 4:30AM and by then the sun is starting to peak its ugly head out from the horizon.
So I am looking for ways to get tired by about 11:00PM to 1:00PM
The one thing I do not want to resort to is drugs, I was on the verge of opiate addiction and that’s something I don’t want to risk.
I thought to my self, hmm maybe if I put physical stress on my body I’ll get tired, it seemed logical enough.
Well, I went out walking and it’s a downhill walk for a good while and I walked about 3 miles downhill. I tried to walk until I couldn’t walk anymore but then I realized that I was going to have to get back. So I turned around when that thought came to mind and the whole walk back was up hill and extremely exhausting.
Well, I finally got home and oh my god I am exhausted, right now I am on my bed with my laptop and sadly I’m not tired, I just feel like I can’t move. I tried to get to sleep but I just can’t.
Will I be tired by nightfall or did I totally waste my time working my self out?
I happen to be a 3rd degree Black Belt
in the ancient and deadly art of Origami.
I find that a vigorous hardcore
practice before bed tends to
put me to sleep.Strange thing is,when I do
a demonstration in front of people it
tends to put them to sleep as
well.
Are you people mocking the defensive capabilities
of my chosen art? Plenty of thugs have approached
me in dark alleyways and then ran upon seeing me
because they knew I was a “Master.” You’d be
surprised at how intimidating it is to an
opponent when they see that you have two paper Killer Whales
on each hand.Especially if you kiss the paper Whales
or yell at them hysterically.
No, that is the way it works because you get your cardiovascular system all pumped up and such so you can’t sleep after. I’ve been working out everyday in the morning or afternoon for a while now and it hasn’t really helped my insomnia at all.
I’ve been taking ju jitsu classes and after a one hour session I’m not ready to go to sleep. I’m probably more awake than when I began 'cos I’ve got my blood pumping around my body. Oxygen is getting to the muscles and so I probably have a lot of excess energy. Working out probably won’t put you to sleep.
Nah youll be awake longer if you work out before bed.
I do night warehouse work, and it takes me until 6 am in the morning if I get off at 4 am to get to sleeep.
If you want to fall asleep earlier then just wake up earlier or don’t sleep for a night and then by the time 10 pm comes around you’ll be tired
I think if you work out earlier in the day for long enough you’ll be tired when you get home. Also having a warm room makes you more tired, also some fresh air with oxygen. But then there is a dilemma on cold nights do you open your window and get fresh air but also get cold or do you leave it closed and breath stale air and be warm. Well for me it depends on the night sometimes i can tell that i’m not getting to sleep because there isn’t enough oxygen so i don’t care if it is cold and i just open the window, but other times i don’t need to open the window at all.
I read some studies done on this, and the general concensius was that you need to do your excersizes in the early morning.
Make sure you’re REALLY awake in the morning and keep yourself busy during the day. For the most part, you should only excercize a couple of HOURS before bedtime.
I delt with this exact problem myself, actually. I found that doing morning excersizes and REALLY being awake in the day, made sleep come SUPER easy. It also hleps you having to deal with staying up for days at a time
The staying up for days method is something I have to go through involuntary now and then and I don’t really appreciate it so it 's not an option I didn’t know morning is the best time for working out. I do know working out shortly before going to bed maximizes my chances of a sleepless night I’ll try working out in the morning.
I have the same problem these days (my time was around 5-6AM though earlier in the week). I think it may be worth trying to work out earlier in the day; maybe 2-5 hours after first waking up. Another thing, (from my recent experience) it is best to stay FAR away from bed until you are seriously ready to sleep…and if you don’t fall asleep in about 30 minutes do something else for half that time.
i think that time of exercise doesnt matter that greatly, since last year i had taekwon-do exercises really late, (ended 21.00) and i got bed to 22.00 and i was instantly asleep, BUT before i went to sleep i had hot shower and relaxed myself a bit…
The key is to get into a rythm… Go to bed at the same time each night, and wake up at the same time in the morning (set your alarm clock - around 7-9 hours of sleep is recommended) If you sleep longer than that, you’ll find it hard to get to sleep that night. I find it best to exercise straight after I get up as it wakes up the body and gives you energy for the whole day, but then at night you feel pretty tired. Also there are a few pretty obvious things - don’t drink coffee a couple of hours before you go to bed, or eat sugary/high energy food. Also take a warm bath maybe, with scented candles - anything to get you relaxed and feeling sleepy. Perhaps when you’re trying to sleep, try and have a WILD (even if you won’t…) But that helps me to fall alseep quickly (i count - 1. I’m dreaming! 2. I’m dreaming! 3. I’m dreaming… etc) I can usually only ever remember getting to 50 or something and then falling asleep Oh and I agree with the skipping a day. You’ll be tired enough at night, but make sure that you set your alarm clock the next day so you don’t sleep in! (You will be tired, but you’ll soon get into the cycle!)
Lol just reading that would make you fall asleep Good luck! Hopefully one of the tips here will help you!
