After so much talking with Pedro...

When we had this argument in the first place… he was coming up with some very good points even though I had to disagree with most of it. But considering his intelligence this thread confused me! Of course the blind person would be able to tell the difference!

Imagine the blind person has 2 objects…one with sharp edges (he may even have hurt himself with it) and one thats curved and opposite. I’m sure he’d see them and realise which one bloody hurt him lol. Blind people can visualize in their head remember!

I know a person who was never “blind” but he had a deformity where his head caused his eyes to see nothing. His eyes were covered by a part of his forehead…it was a sad thing. He had an operation to move parts of it so he could see and he can now. I don’t know if this is true but apparently he was dissapointed with how the world looked as his own visualization of the world was much more vivid and amazing! One reason I didn’t believe this is coz he would have to have the operation at an older age to appreciate vividness but I’m sure he would have had the operation when he was extrememly young! Instead of letting him go blind for years! I met him after the operation.

I know this guy doesn’t have much to do with what the thread is about as he wasn’t truly “blind” but I thought it was interesting and shows how sometimes our imagination is extremely powerful. I don’t see how a blind person can have less imagination.

Animals can remember shapes. They can visualize shapes! Of course a blind person could. A person with extreme problems with the brain might not. Some form of a mental handicap could MAYBE cause this. Feeling the world around us and building visual model’s in our heads has probably been done since the start of time lol.

Btw, r3m0t some of the things you were coming up with the other day…! I didn’t know any of them at the age of 14! What kind of education do you get!? I might disagree here but damn kid, you got some brains lol.

Assuming you can interface a camera on your tounge so that your brain does like a “plug, wait and play” feature, I’m wondering how many different kinds of interfaces the brain could exept. Lets say for example you put normal camera contacts on your tounge (not that I advice it) would your brain automaticly start to work out the signals and decode them. If so then surely you could attach and kind of specialised hardware and your brain would sort it out for you. By the way, for anybody who enjoys putting 9 volt batteries on their tounge (oh yes, people do do that however mad it may seem to you), then note that 10 people (alone in the UK) die per year from liking 9 volt batteries. So I advice against it.

Hmm that’s good advice there.

This might be of no interest to people outside of the UK as I don’t know if the Teletubbies are found elsewhere in the world. For those who haven’t heard of them they are the scum of the Earth. They are four characters who are rather gay and played by men in big suits. They have TV’s on their bellies and aerials (spelling?) on their heads. They got very popular hear and kids all over the country tuned into them…

Then a 5 year old put the tv aerial on his head so she could be a teletubbie and got an electric shock and died on the spot. Scary stuff!

31 people haved died because they watered their christmas tree with the lights on.

4 people break there arms per year from pulling crackers at christmas.

18 people had serious burns after trying on new jumpers with cigarettes in their mouths

543 were addmited to A & E in the last two years while trying to open bottles of bear with their mouths.

5 people are injured per year in accidents involving out of control scalelectrix cars.

Thing you can get away with saying at christmas:
“Talk about huge breast!”
“That’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen!”

There are loads more but some of them turn sick and I still have h/w to do.

I guess it depends on your humor.

The teletubbies - no… The tweenies are worse.
