Any Artists in here? :)

Actually I am. I dont have any audio or anything to link to, I was in what you’d call a cover band. Its run through our highschool music program, but its no small gig. Its basically an education on how to be a proffesional musician, only not as simpistic as a music class. Everything is set up by the students.
Like I said I have no audio, but I got tonnes of pics. If any of yall wanna see em I can e mail a couple of em. Or maybe you could tell me how I can attach them here or something?

I suppose one could consider me an artist…

my site at https://lordofchao5.0catch.comhas some of my art in it. Just follow the link in the left frame…I also have some of my dream stuff on the site if anyone is interested. It is horribly behind in updates, I haven’t done anything significant in years and almost everything is way old. Other things in my life just kind of pushed it to the side…I had almost forgotten about it until I found this thread

Kinda…I play 7-string electric and 6-er acoustic guitar, piano, bass, and alto sax…really wide variety of music, from industrial metal to jazz. I very recently formed a band with one of my friends, but we haven’t really done anything with it yet. For now we’re going to call ourselves Orphan Grain Train (long story)…

i was a member at deviant art.
technically i still am… but i don’t post stuff there anymore.
i got sick of the current trends there and left.

i also don’t like hanson.
too poppy and cheery for my taste.
but at least they write their own stuff and play their own music.
unlike most pop musicians.
so i guess they’re not pure evil.

if i remember correctly (it’s been a while since i visited the forums) there’s a link to my site in my sig.
you can see my stuff there and decide whether or not i’m an artist.
i got rid of my guestbook so you’ll have to find other means of sharing any opinions you might have.

eric-the-ded: Heh. pretty fun. I read your post today, but didn’t check your link yet. Later, i tried searching for “stereograms” on deviantart, to see if there were any kewl stuff. Guess what popped up! Your art ) hehe.

I like your style, you’re really talented. I do some photoshop stuff myself, but i’ve never posted it anywhere.

Simple just keep doing what you are doing, writing, painting, whatever.
You can refine it later.

I am a student on an Art & Design Course. I’m preparing a portfolio so I can do a Degree course but it’s not going as well as I might hope. Sometimes obsessive creativity just happens. Well it hasn’t happened lately for me.

I tried doing a quick painting of a lucid dream (My LDs tend only to be one short scene) but it was fairly poor.
The other day though I did a landscape painting in a dream and the coulours were very good. The compostition was all wrong though, because I had partially copied the layout from someone else who was nearby, and a further away building was in front of a closer one.

Anyone here write poetry? I thought, now that I know what an ld is and that I do it, that I could use the dreams for inspiration. Are there any poets here that do that?

I’ll answer the call to artists, I suppose. It’s something I’ve always done, but Ive been attending ACAD (Alberta College of Art & Design) for the last term, and despite teh fact that Ive been bored out of my mind drawing fruit and other miscellaneous objects, I’ve learned alot.

My site is here for anyone interested: spiffy-keen.com

I do commissions every now and then too, which is kinda fun and kinda nice, but so far its mostly been for “Crazy Ferret Ladies” who want drawings of their pets dressed up as stuff. Yeah…

As to ther person asking about inspiration, its simple. Observe everything. Look at other people’s art online or at galleries. Go to the movies, watch people on the street, look at the stars and watch the wind move through the branches of the trees. Anything and everything is inspiring. And don’t sweat it if you’re not cranking out art at a constant rate. If you dont feel like drawing, dont, you can come back to it whenever you feel like it. I find trying to force it really doesnt work, or at least, things never turn out as well as they could have when I try to do that.

Peace out, yo!

I’m an artist too. I have some artworks that are inspired by my both nonLD and LDs. I don’t have them online though because they’re too big to be scanned though. The medium is soft-pastels. Maybe for Christmas I can get a digital camera or something so I can take some pictures of my artworks.

By the way, I recently won Sterling Scholars in Visual Arts. I’m on my way to win $1,000 scholarship in visual arts. Wish me a good luck please!
